Great photos and an interesting insight into your travels. The picture of the houses in San Fran, is that the one they used in Mrs. Doubtfire?

    Great photos, Love the Jet2.com B757 🙂

ID will be hiring you to do the publicity shots for his airline (can’t remember the name?)!

Are you thinking of Ian Doubtfire – The Managing Director of Jet2.com?

Once again some great photos there

Shame they’ve ruined the look of the 75W with those awful, oddly placed ‘Friendly low fares’ titles, are they also printed on the engines too?

Yes, the new titles are also printed on the engines too.

Good to see AB back safe and sound from her trip across the Pond!

Yes, AB is safe and sound back from her trip across the Pond, but she’s going over it again tomorrow.

The sort of information on it is:

    Name
    From
    To
    Airline
    Flight Number
    Date of Travel
    Class of Travel
Gate number (not always there as gates tend to change)
    Time the gates closes
Seat number (not all airlines have this if its free seating)
    Some still say Non smoking
    Sequence number
    Number of bags checked in
    Weight of bags checked in

I’m in the lucky position that I only live 20 minutes away from LBA so i’m commuting! Well if petrol doesnt go up any more! A good place to look is http://www.accommodationforstudents.com if you are looking for something in the city centre.

I take it you had the same letter I did, saying about the induction days on the 23rd and 24th? I dont suppose you know if the second induction day is on wednesday the 24th or thursday the 25th as in the letter it said thursday 24th

Well I’ll be seeing you all soon too then, I’m starting my second year in a few weeks time at The Aviation Academy.
I know there is an induction day on the Wednesday cos I’ve been asked to pop in for an hour or so.

    Hi Guys,

Just out of curiosity, why do some EZY flights operate with the ‘EZY’ flight no., and others with the ‘U2’ flight no., surely it’s more complex to use two codes?

    Sam

I’m not sure why they use both codes, but I know that the EZY code is the ICAO code, whereas U2 code is the one that IATA use for them.

Does anyone know why Jet2 havent extended their flights to Hamburg(LBC) from LBA after the end of August:mad::mad:

Due to poor loads, the flight to Hamburg Lubeck (LBC) is been dropped which is why it hasn’t been continued after the end of August.

Q: Did you hear about the man with no legs that sneaked into a dance hall?
A: He got thrown out for arsing about! 😀

Amy Winehouse bumps into Jeremy Clarkson and they start to chat. She says to him, “What do you do?”
    He says, “Top Gear.”
She replies, “Brilliant, I’ll take 3 grammes!”

So far, EasyJet have only launched the winter services from East Midlands, Manchester, Newcastle and Bristol. Flights from their other bases will be released over the next couple of weeks.

BA today announced a full year operating profit of £875m, up £273m (45%) on last year.

This gives an operating margin of 10% for the first time in the company’s history, a margin rarely achieved by an airline.

Revenue was up 3.1% to £8.8bn, although fuel costs topped £2bn for the first time ever in a financial year.

    1L.

Right, I’m gonna sound completely thick now, but can someone explain to me what all this means.

I know revenue is all the income that a company gets so I know that BA will get it from selling flights for example.

Is operating profit once all the deductions have been made e.g. wages, fuel bill etc?

Finally, what is an operating margin?

Many thanks for answering the above, would be a great help in my degree.
