Is this nickname inspired by mine ? š
Sorry, i’m still alive.
stop boasting arthuro! š
The Eurofighter isnt too far behind in development š®
Why do you bring the Typhoon in this discussion ? š
they all claim the same thing which is something rare for a military programme.
Except in DSI (n°15).:D
But Sarkozy isn’t the manufacturer.
He claimed Rafale fighters are the best next generation planes and it would bag the deal if the competition is fair.

Not even funny.
Appears Nervous to me saying we expect a fair competition a few times.
I agree with you on this part of your message.
Nicolas10 : whatever the ECM capabilities are, aircraft such as Rafale will keep as passive as possible.
The best way to avoid being shot down is to avoid being detected.
Typhoon or Rafale, take your pick. one of them is a waste of time, the other essential for Europe š
The olde western continente doesn’t need two twin-engined multirole fighters.
Sure, one of them is good enough for all Europe while not having needed a single penny of R&D to the four partners…
Keep your ***** comments off, please.

Maybe a F-22 with drop tanks and RCS enhancers accidentally flew in a Captor cone 80nm ahead of a Typhoon, as they may have flown at the same time.:D
But they did neither flew with each other, nor fight against each other.
It just had to be counter-balanced with what the French reported :
-“the AASM impressed” (which means that the AASM did work well, but the american colonel doesn’t understand the word “stand off”);
-no Rafale were shot down (the colonel failed to get rid of the Sukhoi quick enough so as to shoot the Rafales down before they shoot the AASM).
:diablo:
Now, think about those Rafale flying without the AASM under their wings, far behind the Sukhois (as escort fighters, were to protect the Rafale), and never flying over the targets (75km max range for the AASM). What would you think of this ?
2007 Sep 03 ~ Sep 20, Skylance 07 exercise:
Blue team: Eurofighter
Red team: Tornado F3 and Hawk with unlimited reborn capability.
The final exchange rate –> 49 (Red) : 1 (Blue)
Thank you Toan.
Don’t you (or someone else) know how many Typhoons were engaged ? Had their missiles got a reborn capability as well ?:D
I agree, i finally think this sentence was ironical.
On the other hand Typhoons got their ass whipped by F-16s, F-15s and F-18 regularly. :diablo:
This would explain the diablo. The “on the other hand” could also mean “contrary to Rafale…”
I think they are used to bad news concerning the Rafale by now.
š I (we Rafale fans) couldn’t agree more !
š
a mental issue when it comes to Rafale to Eurofighter
Perhaps. š
But the Rafale has nothing to do with this thread.
