The FI article does not change anything to what was written in AFM, BEFORE.
Both articles were unsigned.
And, did Jon Lake allowed you to quote his article without saying who is the author ?

You just modified the last sentence. That’s why i wrote this just after :

I’m an author too, and if i’m not paid, i appreciate when people give my name with my comics.

Singapore’s ministry of Defense (MinDef) has imposed strict reporting guidelines on the three companies bidding for its Next Fighter Replacement Programme (NFRP, also known as the Next Generation Fighter programme), insisting that they reveal nothing about their submissions or about the evaluation process. They seem to have obeyed this order to the letter, thought internet bulletin boards have included comments by MinDef and RSAF sources, and even by people claiming to be members of the evaluation team.
But if I only believed what I could read on the internet, I’d be stuffed!
LoL
That was being said in Singapour. Most interestingly is the fact that the aircraft being used was a block 1 twin seat.
Most interestingly is the fact that Rafale wasn’t evaluated with 80kN M88 and AESA as proposed.
If it did, there’d be no real pressure to replace RBE2….
Such pressure that the AESA will come before 2012 (as previously planned).
AESA may be at the top of priority list, it will just be produced and delivered when it is scheduled since the begining.

Just a quick point to all the rafale fans out there. Honestly, I am much more likened towards the typhoon and would like to know how the rafale is superior to the typhoon in the a2g role/ strike role. I have heard of superior range and payload, but how does the aircraft handle when loaded out with this weapons set, as well as the “Care Free handelling” of the typhoon? I am making this point as I am yet to see ANY aircraft demonstate the raw power and agility when loaded with full air to ground/strike ordinance as the typhoon did at farnborough last year.
I suppose the root of the question is does the rafale still have its flight preformance close to the typhoon when loaded?, or does it significantly “drop off”, so to speak.
Sorry mate, it’s not the good topic.

8 Typhoons in Afghanistan in 2008 :

I can’t remember if someone posted this one :
RAF takes delivery of first multi-role Eurofighter Typhoons
Dear KKM57P, when will you :
1) answer my MP ?
2) realize that we’re in a Typhoon thread ?
Satorian ? Could you please quote one sentence proving that a French thought that the RBE-2 has similar performance to an AESA ? That was the glitter’s point.
A question.
There will be 230 Rafale in the French air force (ArmeΓ¨ de l’Air) in the future that will be divided in many roles AA, Air-Ground, Nuclear strike, training, etc., cause with a only type of aircraft (Rafale) l’AdA wants to replace all the aircraft for frontline (Mirage F1, 2000, 2000-V, Mirage IV, etc.).
Please could someone post the exact numbers (out of 230) of this different versions? Many thanks
π
One aircraft for all tasks. π
Normally, all the aircraft will at least reach the standard F3, wich is already omnirole, whatever their assignement.
This mean that there will be only one version, except if it’s decided later not to upgrade them all to future standards (after F3).
Thanks for that Scorpion82, you are by far the best source of information on the Typhoon on this forum.:)
Sure. π I agree with you.
Thanks, Scorpion…
The first T2 aircraft will be block 8. Block 8 have some hardware changes, but initially use the same software as block 5. Improvments include new mission computers, improved Captor-D radar, full PIRATE functionality, new digital engine control and monitoring unit (DECMU), maybe improved CAMU, AFAIK new DASS computers as well and maybe some fixes in the current PSP 4 software.
Do you have details about these improvements ?
Captor-D ?
DASS ?
Pirate ?
What do they bring new ?
You and your ilk have not done the same to Typhoon.
Ok, let’s make it short :
================
Typhoon is a THE fighter/bomber.
Joust will prove 100% right.
Korean and Sing have rated Typhoon above Rafale.
Typhoon’s MMI are a fair generation ahead of Rafale.
Typhoon is more agile than Rafale due to its higher instability and long moment harm canards.
Typhoon is also much more agile in supersonic.
Typhoon’s radar is also much better.
Typhoon’s through life costs are lower.
Typhoon’s carefree handling caracteristics are much better, with any loadout…
====================
Are you happy now ? π Do you feel better ?
What about sharing data and news about this fighter without comparing it with its competitor each time ?
Could someone, please, provide me with some Typhoon pilot interview, or something like that ?
KKM57P,
Since you know better than Thales, then, please, let’s talk only about Typhoon here, please. π
