Nice. I did not not notice it, until Moggy C moved the 1/24-Beaver-Thread. 🙂
Yes indeed, Matchbox once produced a Merlin-engined Halifax, while the Airfix-Halifax features radial-engines. My bet is on the re-issue.
But to clarify, there has been an advert from the folks that make ’em, in the classified section of the American ‘Fine Scale Modeller’ magazine (distributed by Comag in the UK of late) for many, many years on & off…. long before even the internet perhaps ?
Yes, it´s the same kit, should be around 20 years old now.
Sorry, forgot you´d have to register at the forum.
Trying to translate … The kit seems to be ok, the surface features fine rivets and it seems, there is only very few … sanding(?) necessary. However, it lacks all interior and clear window parts. I think this would be most challenging (at least for me).
It is more or less a huge snap-kit with black decals for the windows. Here is a picture of the sprues.

Could it be page 3 of the Pink-Lady-Insurance-Thread, starting with post no. 78?

Hi,
there is an decal sheet from eduard which features an HF Mk.IX C flown by Otto Smik in September 1944. DU-N, serial ML296.
Something like this? http://www.hawkertempest.se/carding.htm
Indeed German nightfighters operated over Britain, attacking returning bombers, but for unknown reasons those intruder-missions were quite soon forbidden by Hitler himself (Cajus Bekker, “Angriffshöhe 4000”).
Hey, that´s looking good, thank you Snapper.
Think I´ll have a start with “Tempest Pilot” 🙂
Hmm, seems that I have to specify my search:
Allied (preferred RAF) fighter pilot, European theatre of operations (MTO would also be OK.)
Snapper – the problems with german libraries is that they don´t have may books regarding this topic.
A model of primed RCAF5481/G-ORGI 1991 (maybe not 100% correct, all I had was a small picture in an old FlyPast).
Excuse me, but what means “SOP”?
BTW: What happened to the wreck of Shackleton “Pelican 8?”? Is it still there, or has it been burnt down for scrap already? Just curious, all I know is, the wings were removed from the fuselage, but the wreck remained on site.
