Great news, at least we’ll get to see one B-17 flying at Legends! šŸ™‚

I would prefer seeing two of them … however IĀ“m not even sure, if I can visit Legends after all … šŸ™

    Hi

and thanks everyone! I think, IĀ“ll try getting to DX on Saturday morning – donĀ“t know right now if I should book a B&B … IĀ“d rather spend that money having beautiful old planes flying around … hmmm.

Pilot Fw.Eduard Hemmerling , 3 victories , is classed as MIA … with no known grave .

BTW: This monthĀ“ “Flugzeug Classic” reports, Fw. Hemmerling scored his last victory the day he was shot down and crash-landed at the beach near Wissant (that should be Cape Blanc Nez?). He died from his injuries the following day.

Ehm … I do not have any photo with a CV-Serial at all.

Well …. IĀ“ve asked because of … my new carĀ“s number plate.
Usually I choose “CV” (my initials) and four digits, the “MK” ist binding for our region. So the last ones were “MK-CV 1980” (the year I was born) and “MK-CV 5316” (the car was a 316). However, this car will be driven only from 4 (April) to 11 (November) thus eliminating one digit. So the next one will be “MK-CV 387” (month and year of built)

So I was courious, if there would have been by chance a RAF-plane with the same serial …

Aircraft letters: I think we have the choice of GE (58 Sqn.) /GF/OE/OF/QE/QF/SE/SF – for the squadron and T for the individual aircraft letter. Maybe we should see, which squadron-codes could be eliminated.
Does any publication of bomber command losses exist?

Bring her over here, fly her on airshows, no problem. People will come / pay to see this.

But I can also imagine seeing a Lanc flying over the Mƶhnedamm would be quite frightning for some of the older generation … donĀ“t know what memories that could bring up.
