I happen to own an deactivated .303 Browning Mk II* Machinegun. It belonged to one of the 15 Avro Lancasters which served in the Argentine Air Force until the middle 60´s. Does anybody know the meaning of the markings on it. The crown, GR and crossed scepters I know, but what about the circle with the BU ( or is it a badly punched O ? ) and the back-to-back C´s inside.
