Once I’ve got the Aeroboot fully up and running I will try and get something sorted re the Jetstream.

At the minute I’ve got about 6 or 7 people to meet (to view / discuss items) on Saturday; so it might be a bit of a stretch but I’ll endeavour to sort everything out for all of my ‘appointments’. 🙂

Off to the BBC in Nottingham later this afternoon to do a live broadcast about NAM’s new Education DVD and Cockpit-Fest! 😀

Bruce I’ve repleid to your PM and I will send you a site plan – bring lots of goodies for all of the Aerboot buyers!!

Below is an update from the NAM website about travelling to Cockpit-Fest this weekend.

“There is the Kit Car Show taking place on the Showground; although this event doesn’t normally cause too many traffic issues it might be worthwhile allowing a bit more time if travelling to the Cockpit-Fest. Rather than following the A46 signage the best route in to the museum is likely to be along the A17 bypass and then along Drove Lane.”

    F100 disposals

A couple threads that contain details about the F100 disposals via RAF Sculthorpe in the late 1970s. 🙂

3 more Aeroboot stall bookings came in today – looking like an excellent turn out (could be NAM’s best ever), which enhances the chance of finding those wanted items! 😀

    Museum aircraft open this weekend!

Prompted by a recent PM – I can confirm that various museum aircraft should be open for business this weekend (Vulcan, Shackleton, Hastings etc) – a small additional charge is made to go on board!

😮 I would think TB3 would be more appropriate to take the “trace of THORIUM 232” in the nose cone to TB5 in earth orbit!! :diablo:

No problem Anon – but why does Newark now have to be a “gang”? :diablo:

    Only kidding! 😀

My first hourly email of the day from Bill O’S has advised that a Tempest cockpit might be joining the Jaguar from South Yorkshire – still not on the full list (given up with that now I think).

Prompted by a comment in the Merlin FC thread I thought that I would advise that standard museum admission rates apply for the combined Cockpit-Fest and Aeroboot event this weekend – Adults £6.25, Over 60s £5.75, Children £4.00 and Family ticket [2 adults & 3 children] £18.50.

Gift Aided rates available, which helps us reclaim a bit extra from HMRC. Make the most of these rates in 2010 as I fear a small increase will be on the cards for 2011, so NAM can meet its ever increasing running costs.

😮 An embarrassing typo Anon (now corrected)! 😮

With the position of the sun when I took the photograph yesterday afternoon it was impossible to get a good view that included the ‘Newark Air’ in the background – IMHO this is an important consideration when trying to get the event covered in a variety of regional news outlets!

Let me know if you would like a high res version Anon. 🙂

‘Canberra’ Matt – I might be able to offer some limited guidance about insurance; I’ll look out for you at the weekend! 🙂

I might have someone else in the Stamford area looking for a cockpit at an event!

Anon, sorry if I under-played significance of the The Paper Plane’s fame – it did look rather smart in yesterday’s Nottinghamshire sunshine!!

    Not on the list!!!!

😀 NAM’s Jaguar cockpit now has a ‘new playmate’ for this weekend’s event – as a Jaguar GR.1 cockpit has just arrived for display from South Yorkshire. So far this airframe is not on the main Cockpit-Fest listing!
