In which part of the hangar was the stall located or by which aircraft?:confused:

If you give me some idea I will check with the organiser at the museum – I believe that they have already handled a number of similar requests.

Perhaps another reason for the lower than anticipated numbers was it was only two weeks after Whitwick?

As I mentioned in an earlier post I understand that they missed the fact that it was also a BAPC Meeting so they might also have missed the Whitwick date.:confused:

Thinking along the timing topic; what do people consider would be an acceptable gap between these types of event?

Is it just Whitwick and Newark, or should other similar events be considered?

Further Update

I helped to tidy up hangar 2 after yesterday’s sale and there seemed to be positive feedback, plus a small selection of new ideas that I understand the museum will try to take on board.

I’ve been over again today and I was told that the museum would also have liked more visitors / buyers. I was also advised that yesterday the sale also clashed with the quarterly BAPC meeting, which may have reduced numbers a bit.

I understand that there were a couple of ‘no-show’ stall holders, which could have been linked to the ‘doom laden snow headlines’ in a lot of the newspapers. Having said that it was very cold and the wind did increase during the day.

I was also told today that several return bookings were made for the February 2009 sale – so I guess those people were happy; plus the number of stalls available may go up to 35 for that sale.

The June event will tie in with the 10th Anniversary Cockpitfest event on June 13 & 14, but due to the large number of visiting displays all the Aeroboot stalls will be outside for that event.
