Harpoon-er seem less capable compared to LRASM, JSM or even JSOW-ER. Practically a longer range Harpoon without improvement in ability to penetrate air defense
What are you trying to state here ?
Iam surprised that you still have to ask that question. Ever since he been in this forum, he always find the sources with the lowest performance value for Western equipments, highest performance value for Russian, then make some ridiculous comparison to justify his Russia STRONK narrative. It getting so old now.
All the pics I’ve seen show the F-2 carrying 2 ASM-3 plus various other stuff, but never 4 ASM-3. 2 ASM-3 plus tank is about 4000 kg under one wing, that’s a lot for an F-16 derivative.
F-2 has bigger wing so it can generate more lift.
Even normal F-16 sometimes tested with very strange load
Are you sure the fuel tank is 2000 kg ?
To be fair, they had the B-58 and F-111, similar role.
Are we sure about that? It’s a pretty large missile, like 50% more weight than the old ASM-1/2 missiles.
only 2000 lbs similar weight to JASSM or PGM-2000
F-16E with smaller wing can carry 4 of those
CM-400AKG is the export variant of the YJ-12 which is a ramjet powered missile with top speed of up to Mach 5 and depending on altitude up to 400 km range. It’s designed to kill heavily defended targets like aircraft carriers. JF-17 can carry two of these. There is no lightweight fighter with anything close to this capability.
How about F-2 and ASM-3, range is shorter but it can carry 4 of them

Good effort, but his accent is quite hard to understand
For me the winner by quite a margin goes the JAS-39. In Air-to-Air, Python-5 and Derby armed Tejas would be quite formidable. For Anti-ship roles JF-17 can carry (or at least will carry) CM-400AKG and CM-802AKG. This is pretty interesting capability and off-course JF-17 must have the lowest price tag.
Do you mean JAS-39C or JAS-39E? Why do you think it is better by a wide margin?
Why do you think LCA better than JF-17 and CK-1?
Well, what respect you want to compare from them Garry ? you might want to limit it to some factors.. say cost per flight hour or generic price, then discussion could be start in hopefully proper manner.
Paralay did good one there in quantifying, and unless someone come up with equivalent work, it would be unfair and disrespectful to dismiss his without considering the amount of effort to make that tabulations.
I want to compare them in terms of kinematic, sensors and weapons. In general, how they stack up as fighter against more popular candidate such as F-16 or Mig-29. Regarding paralay tables, i find values of some criteria are somewhat dubious such as RCS, range of radar, mean of survivability..etc. Where are the number came from ?
Am i the only one realize that OP always give some random performance figures of military equipment in a non specific scenario from random blog and websites, as a way to push his nationalistic agenda (“Russia/China STRONK! NATO WEAK!” narrative) while pretending to ask questions?
Total combat effectiveness:
J-20 – 1.28
J-31 – 1.3
J-10 – 0.85
FC-1 – 0.88
If FC-1 is better then why did China buy J-10 only?
If you tried to space the modules closer than lambda/2, you’d end up with multiple beams going in different directions. Not very useful for a radar
AFAIK, lambda/2 rule is for upper limit rather than lower limit. Lambda/2 spacing give the best gain though IMHO

SVP-24 sounds a lot like CCIP ( Constantly Computed Impact Point) on F-16. Btw in worst case when their sensor doesn’t work, shouldn’t they be able to uses smart weapons like dumb weapons?. Like can’t laser bombs be used with CCIP?

Long story short….
1991 — Motorcycle accident with multiple compound fracture. 3 month in the hosp to get MRSA under control & start to rebuild after losing 8 inches of the tibia to the MRSA. Lost a lot of soft tissue including multiple muscles, veins & arteries in the left shin area.
1991 > 1993 — I have had 28 surgeries involved in the MRSA infection, ortho reconstruction, muscle replacement, and skin graphs. Chronic bad blood flow in left shin due to the missing veins and arteries.
2001 — At my daughter’s 1st birthday party I had a pain in my left knee, the dr said possible bone chip and wraps the leg in an ace bandage. 4 days later (and in a lot of pain) I go back to the Dr to remove the ace and the leg is black & purple from the knee down. An aggressive cellulitis infection had taken hold. Turns out the pain was not a boan chip but the lympth node “going off”.
2001 > today — Starting in 2001 with 1 infection and growing in frequency (now at 3-4 per year), I keep getting these cellulitis infections. I am very good at detecting the early signs (ie the pain the in the lymph node) so I can start antibiotics before my leg even gets a little red. While it has been getting more frequent, they are very manageable and present nothing worse than a headache and some chills. However, July the 31st was a different story. I was at work and got the now classic “pain the lymph node”. I told my boss (who is used to it by now and told me to go home) and started to drive home. After about 30 minutes I cannot remember anything till I “came around” in the ER. I never lost consciousness but was confused & incoherent for a couple of hours. The doctors told me that mild stomach bug that I had been dealing with for a week or so had weakend my imune system enough to allow the cellulitus to be very aggressive, turn septic, and basically hit me so hard I never saw it coming.
I’ve accepted for years that eventually I would have to have the leg amputated as at some point later in life I would no longer be able to fight the infections. However, this is a whole new problem, that being of safety and the possibility that I can cause a serious accident without seeing it coming. This is why I have decided to have the left shin amputated ASAP. I have an appt tommarow to have the leg scanned for blood flow to see if any part of the shin can be saved or if everything below the knee has to go.
Man you are strong, hope you get better soon
