Lusaka is the only example I can think of where aircraft types have been downgraded. In the last season Nairobi has been supplemented by twice daily flights on 3 days of the week, and Cape Town is receiving a boost in frequencies from this winter. Luandas frequencies are also increasing.

I would say the opposite, BA loves flying to Africa as it makes the airline so much easy money.

New routes etc were announced today, only capacity increases at LHR re Long Haul, Lagos is staying put for at least another season.

Until BA announce direct international flights from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland I don’t think they should be called the UK’s national carrier instead they should be called English Airways

To be fair there is a direct EDI-CDG flight 😉
