Because Eva Air have no staff at LHR (being based in Taiwan) and it was BA that made the ooppsie 😉

AAs 767 fleet is very new, they are receiveing about 2 a month currently to replace the A300s.

Lufthansa are appalling for IFE. They still have not got round to installing PTVs on their long haul fleet, not even A346s I believe!
The only airline I can think of with A320/321s that offer IFE is BMed out of LHR.

Well as with most airlines these days they probably don’t own the planes, leasing them from GECAS or ILFC probably, and quite likely at favourable rates too as the leasing company’s have a lot of these to get off their hands at the moment.
Galdri is I think the man who will know more than anyone else, that is if he still circulates round here?

Yeah I thought so. Well I have no hesitation in recomending the tour guide we had, it was a 2.5 hour tour of the city piking up at all the airport hotels and either dropping back at the hotel or the airport. He takes you round in a minibus with a few other people, and you stop at various points to get out and take photographs etc.
The city is surprisingly small so we found that the 2.5 hours was ample to get a feel for the place, but its equally easy to get around on foot I would imagine too.

Yup, we could see the departures from 18, althogh we didn’t realise this until the morning! Apparently it is within walking distance of a good spotting spot which we never found 🙁

Yes we are talking about different hotels, mine was to the south of the airport.

There was a TF-ELJ an ATR, I am not sure where that is now though. You did read off it correctly though, TF-ELJ is now with islandsflug, they seem to be getting new 737s every day!
