The 767’s have been being used by BA very extensively recently. I am surprised that they would bring her back from the desert and then not use her, storing her at Heathrow. There is no information on her anywhere that says that she is non-operational, but I have asked someone who fly’s the 767’s for BA what is happening.

I’ve found out a bit more: They are coming in in November, and are something to do with RNAV procedures which I didn’t quite understand. Something to do with Non- RNAV designated airways and RNAV designated airways!

Confusing! It will probably appear on the UK register shortly to simplify things I hope!

The plans have been shelved, Prestwick will only be used for training etc. as it is currently by many UK carriers. I believe they are going to still have Air Atlanta there though. Virgins new hangar/base will probably be at Heathrow (Not quite sure where they will find the space though!)

Not 856US, that was on GFAMH (I think they changed it to FAMH anyway) before it was re-regd last week.

    Almost right tenthije:
They are indeed Fokker 100’s and they have been at Farnborough for several months now. They are not for Germania however, but are remaining at EGLF for a private operator, and I think there will be 3 in total. I’m sure Rob will tell you more when he sees this post though!

T5, the best place to view the planes is on the A323, as you are driving along it you come to a very tight S-Bend, and on the canal side (The side of the airport) there is a small iron bridge. If you cross that and park up next to the fence then you get a very good view of all the ramps there, and usualy the best views of the BBJ’s and other big things.

Yep, it’s a 747-400. Don’t forget this flight is the only BA flight that goes from terminal 3 !
Most people try to get on at T4!

I’ve always been told, and an Irish friend is constantly quoting that it is London – Dublin.

They have stuck to the 707 recently for their commerical jets, and are still trying to flog them for £55, when many have depreciated to £20 or less on ebay. If they had invested a bit more in this end then it could have been much better, but this doesn’t really surprise me sadly 🙁
