Smashing stuff!
topjet330 is correct, UK flight tracking has been severely restricted recently. Flytecomm is the best you can get, and to be perfectly honest you are much better off checking airport websites for departure and arrival times as they are far more reliable.
At least its better than the rest of Europe which is blocked entirely 🙁
It’s a shame the most obvious thing in the second shot is my own reflection!
Hmm, I’m having trouble working out which is the reflection…
Oh come on it had to be said just as much as Grey Area had to say his fishy joke!
Great shots though mate, must must must get up there again this year!
I wasnt aware they had new aircraft coming either. I was going to suggest it was a belated replacement for the -300, however 5B-DBH has gone to Excel, so it looks like a direct replacement for that. Not sure if there are any more to come or not?
What’s the ‘Driving North’ Thing?
Great report, but that is a question I am also interested in the answer to!
Ahhh Frankfurt in May, fond memories! Must get back there some time soon!
mmmmmm lovely stuff! I just hope the RAF bring one to Farnborough again this year, I havent seen one in ages.
As someone said on the anet thread that you lifted the quotes from (or more specifically the ifdg forums) “someone has too much time on their hands”. I’m sure that if anyone else was really that bothered they could trawl through thousands of press releases and find all the recent Boeing quotes against the A350, or more interestingly over the very long development period of the A380.
But like most people on this forum, I have better things to do…
Another Air India Express 738 on delivery I think.
Not forgetting that the LBA-EXT has been upgraded to a 146 from a Q400 this season, despite staying once daily. 🙂
90% load factor on the first flight is to be expected. Lets just hope that the following flights prove equally as popular and FlyBe decide to extend Leeds into some of their additional French destinations.
Was just wondering where the aircraft was operating from, and I see it is doing a W pattern EXT-EGC-LBA-EGC-EXT.
You don’t see the sales folk from Boeing bad mouthing Airbus do you? Hell, they even congratulated Airbus on the A380.
When it comes to PR you can either play good cop or bad cop. Leahy chose bad cop.
I think that comment shows just what planet you really live on! Both companies are as bad as each other, always going on against each others products. All Boeing did in the UK last Thursday on all the interviews they did was criticise the A380.
As Pembo said I would be rather concerned if the situation was any different, and not just in the aviation industry either.
Nah its being done by a 737. I assume there will be the usual PR stuff at the check in desks and on the first flight as usually happens on new routes.
I dont think it was ever converted for Government use, it was intended for Cameroon, and registered there, but I dont think they actualy paid anything and it just sat in Mojave for ages. Hence the problems, as it has been virtually inactive for a couple of years.
Although the 762 isnt actualy flying at the moment due to a whole host of problems with it.
