Ah this winter, thats why it didnt show up in anything in front of me!
Since when have BA flown to Grenoble???
HAHA well done everybody, it is indeed the service station on the M6. Not entirely sure what practical purpose that tower plays as it didnt seem accessible, but we were both quite amazed to see it at first!
Yes the traffic is very busy at this particular site, it is quite near Preston I suppose, but not that near.
Nice shots. The Aerolineas Argentinas MD80 runs a European shuttle service for the airline out of Madrid connecting to their trans-atlantic Beunos Aires service.
I think the white ATR is possibly a Swiftair one.
Ahh I see now, its been a long 10 days!
Yes but 6th July was last Wednesday. What I am saying is the situation has changed because of the events of last Thursday (the day after you travelled).
Well I’m finally home after a very exhausting, surreal, frustrating, and yet strangely rewarding week. I got G-JEDO on the way out, and this afternoon G-JEDU brought me back, and gave me my first ever missed approach/go around 😀 Apparently there were some seagulls around the threshold and we were told to go around and wait for the ops department to scare them away. They obviously didnt do a very good job as whilst I was sitting waiting for my train another Q400 went around over me!
One word of warning to travellers in the UK post 07/07 – Airband Scanners are NOT permitted in hand luggage anymore. I have always travelled with mine in my hand luggage for the last few years, however security in Belfast made me check my backpack in for the first time, so be warned!
Nice shots mate.
I have a feeling HMCC is something to do with the wedding of Charles and Camilla, His/Her Majesty Charles/Camilla?
Also roughly how tall are you? I am 6’3, and after my flight on EZIB vowed never to go back on an EZY 319 again it was so uncomfortable.
As by738 says the costs of this glorified positioning flight will easily be covered by the PSO money the Irish government pays them to run the new flights out of DUB.
Stunning shots Dan, especially of that rather handsome chap standing to Jeremy’s right behind the software 😀
The last week has been really fun but very tiring, and I’m now having to bash our website lots to try and get it working. I just want to thank everyone who helped us over the weekend, especially Dan (wannabe pilot) and Elgan (bmi-star), we couldnt have done it without you both 🙂
Leeds to India on an Avro… 😮 My oh my! I have to go to India next month and I’m having problems persuading myself it’ll be a good trip on an Emirates A330, so God help those poor punters. Do they pay passengers to travel, or is it a pennance for some terrible crime?
Andy
India! Your gonna be in trouble there Andy!
If its ex Excel Airways that means it most probably belongs to Air Atlanta.
Hmm not sure of the IATA, the ICAO is EGCN though, not that thats relevant at all!
Yup they do EGNM.
