Nice pics Grey…
I thought about it, bbut I’m glad I didn’t go…
I don’t like BHX when they’re using 33 – especially not in the afternoon. Far more photo ops for 15 IMHO, if you’re prepared to work a bit for them!

Agreed, found a lovely one there last weekend, but didnt have enough time to exploit it fully.
Hmm, sadly my Dad uses LHR enough that he knows there are no quiet periods 🙁
Ooh go on then, provided I take a couple of folders I should be able to persuade my parents to let me go if I say I’ll revise during the quiet periods 😀
Second metroliner in that region to go down in a week I think. Very sad 🙁
If that bloke sees this pic he is just going to die of embarrasment knowing that over 5000 people have seen it 😀
Interesting choice. In a general sense I would have regarded a handling agent as inferior to a mainline airline. However the way the industry has changed in the last decade has reversed that rather simplistic view.
Handling agents are now similar in size to some airlines, and the job security etc remains. Coupled with the fact that Aer Lingus is now in effect a LoCo, AND with a thought to be messy privatisation up ahead, joining them might not be as attractive as it once was.
For me it would be quite a tight contest, and I guess it is for you now as you are asking the question:D
The Vatican is a no fly zone all the time actualy.
Originally G-BKTN, then to HB-AEA, last reported reg was OM-NKD not SKD.
Jetstreams do have a habit of just vanishing though, especially in a country like Slovakia where people dont report aircraft movements/changes very much.
The 20th is doable for me, £40 from LTN.
Both BA and Scot Airways (Suckling) have attempted to run the route from GLA. I guess it’s more suited to the EDI market, it being a corporate route.
It would need to to run as a lo-co operation to be a success from GLA in my opinion. Purely because of the types of market and the alternatives to London already available from Glasgow.
Only problem being LoCo is nigh on impossible from LCY due to the exorbitant costs charged by the airport.
Yes, several operators have tried it, the most recent being BA with the ARJ.
LCY do loads of surveys for all sorts of places, most of them have not yet come about. The only one that ever came about was Leeds, and that was asked within a few months
Superb stuff, you were especially lucky with the Tunisian Herc. I’m certainly looking forward to popping back to AMS for a day next month 😀

bmi use Pier 4A purely for their DUB flights, all other bmi services go from round the corner. BAA have a computer which assigns gates, however mostly this only operates within a given range of gates ie bmi flights to DUB will always be given stand 90 or whatever.
