Everyone has been forecasting doom and gloom over the LCY service since it started, and so far it has all proved to be rumour with nothing official. Every day someone comes up on pprune and says “LCY service to be axed” but it hasnt happened yet…

Looking good for Boeing. Both companies ranges are never in the same stage of the product life-cycle as one another, so there will always be periods like we have seen in the last decade or two, where Airbus sells better than Boeing due to its more advanced products.

However now Boeing is in the position where its products are ahead of Airbus in terms of the technology that the Airlines want, and I think we will see a much more dominant Boeing now than we have seen in the last decade. Then again when Airbus relaunches its product portfolio in the way Boeing is doing now, the same will happen for Airbus.

Its swings and roundabouts I guess.

According to my trustworthy source a baggage container damaged the number 2 engine, obviously quite badly. Pax have all been put onto IAD services, and a few onto PHL flights.

wx isnt too bad at either end. I was going to blame those dodgy 767s but then noticed its a 777, so I guess the thing has just gone tech. It has a near 24 hour delay on as well!

Not much chance of getting a 736 in Europe (cheap) other than this so might fly STN-Scotland at some point to add one to my list!

Not too sure on headsets, best to try the usual hardware places like dabs etc.

Regarding routes, providing you are flying BA routes http://www.bavirtual.co.uk has plans for all its routes. http://www.ais.org.uk has plans for all UK Domestic flights, and http://www.vatsim.net/ has loads of links to other countries FIRs.

It can get a bit confusing, I’ll be online tonight if you wanna run through some things with me 🙂
