Two Beech 18’s doing a beautiful formation low pass on departure from NC00 on Sunday. The controllers were so nice to allow my wife and myself on the tower to record the Beech 18s departing.

Does the book go into any depth about those issues (even today they’re largely classified, so I suspect not a great deal of detail).

Apparently this ex-RAF Vulcan -and Victor pilot used to be a NATO Nuclear Release Officer. Whether he will divulge many hitherto unknown details in a “Haynes Manual” I do not know.
This book will not be a thick “Tome”.

CHELAN, Wash. — KOMO photographer Eric Jensen and reporter Steve McCaron were covering an advancing wildfire in the town of Chelan when a tanker carrying fire retardant flew overhead, soaking them in the red liquid.

The retardant, known as slurry, is a mix of water and fertilizer.

The town of Chelan in central Washington state is currently under evacuation orders as wildfires sparked by lightning prove difficult to contain. But that didn’t stop KOMO News photographer Eric Jensen from getting this amazing shot of a 10 Tanker Air Carrier DC-10 making a drop directly over his head.
