Anybody hazard a guess of where this was filmed? It is an A-4 Skyhawk alright…
DON’T be put off by the vidcap, the resolution of the clip itself is a lot better -and sharper!

30 Jun 1984 was the last day of RAN FAA T/A4G flying.
The 2 TA4G and 8 A4G Skyhawk aircraft had been sold to the RNZAF.
This clip shows LCDR John Hamilton, CO VC-724 with CAPT John Da Costa in back, in final fly past with engine shutdown.
As the first Skyhawk pilot back in 1967 it was fitting that CAPT (later CDRE) Da Costa was on the last flight in TA4G 880 (which also was the first flight aircraft at NAS Nowra back in 1967). This same aircraft is now back at Nowra in the Fleet Air Arm Museum (FAAM) having been kindly donated by the New Zealand Government.

bonkers?
Apparently some people in charge at Kleine Brogel indeed weren’t that pleased with this stunt. It certainly was a lot higher at the Sanicole Airshow at nearby Hechtel the day after! :dev2:

Yes, it is a Cessna 182 Skylane, but in Venezuela “Health and Safety” isn’t always much of an issue… 😉
