Not the best but certainly the most memorable!
I think it was Elvington last year (Great Show) and the Red Bull Sea Vixen done a simulated attack… some story about an oil tanker that runaground years ago… display pilot who was flying the Sea Vixen did so back then…
any way the explosion happened before the Sea Vixen had made its pass 😀 i did chuckle…
Wombat,
I think you are being a bit over critical. 🙁
Great film!!!!
Thank you all for clearing up the Chipmunk Issue!!!!
Some people do get piccy don’t they
Thats okay like yourself i didn’t want my comments to be mis-interpreted or seen as a moan!!
Sorry to appear ‘stupid’ but what is it about the Chipmunk that makes it not authentic….
More than 4 Hurricanes… A Hurricane Balbo would be great…
🙁
Airbedane!!!
I wasn’t moaning about the Chippie, very nice it looks too, its just that the commentator one evening mentioned on two or three occasions how he would repaint it! That and the provest i think, i wasn’t sure why he was so insistant but he come across as being quite critical about the collection…
I went with some friends who had never been before and they thought he was hilarious…
Colour schemes don’t bother me greatly! they all look superb… anyway if the money can be put to better use then i totally agree with you! 😉
Keep up the great work and thank you for reading all our comments i hope they have been usefull…
Airgage
Friends of TFC!!! 🙁 Sorry never come across it, im just about everyone else’s friend!:D
Ive joined about 7 or 8 different memberships this year and ive got to say im losing touch:confused: oh and its getting expensive!!!
Id love to know when TFC started the Beau, it has a lot of memories for me as a child as my dad took me to DX one day (i was only young) and we spoke to an engineer for ages, Dad then bought me a model Beau from the shop, Dad loved the Beau, Unfortunatly he won’t get to see her fly so i do hope i do one day…:(
point taken airgage, All id like to know is when restoration started??? Anywho!!
I think its inevitable that people will want to speculate on project completion times…
Snapper, i’m not sure if she will be ready mate! I wonder!!!:D
for Airgage read Airrage!!!
Airgage,
You did have a naff day today…
I don’t think anyone here is ‘moaning’ far from it… if you can’t discuss aircraft restorations on an Historical Aviation forum then where do you suggest we go???
My question was quite relevant! When did the Beaufighter project start?
When did they start the Beaufighter project?
I remember as a young lad my dad talking to an engineer who said that she might fly in 2000. And how he probably wont be around to see it:( im starting to think i might not get to see it either:D
I think this was about 12/13 years ago???
I live closer to OW than i do DX and over the past few years have been to nearly all the airshows…
If the dates clash with DX then i would end up going to DX.
Only today have i visited OW without a show on! DX i will visit 4-5 times a year when there is no show… not sure why cos i love OW:confused:
Things change, OFMC have just finished a superb partnership with Brietling and are now moving on to do different things…
Thats how i see it anyway…:)
Thanks Daz, reliable as always!!!
How come the Spit ended up with ‘wing tips’ i’m assumng that she originally was a clipped wing varient??? Am i the only one that prefers the tips???
Right tour is looking like this…

Shoreham Aircraft Museum (Thanks for the pics VP i will let you know when im coming…
Manston (Hurricane and Spitfire building?)
