RE: BA & A380?
well from what i hear changi airport has to build a new terminal with specified fingerdocks for the a380 i guess thats an environmental issue there in itself without comparing the 777 or the 380.Alot of airports who have the A380 servicing them will need to modify, upgrade or build new facilities to accomadate this aircraft.I know that dubai were i work from has to build new terminal space for the a 380 so thats a factor at dubai airport.Personally i dont know if it will take off and be as popular as some people think but then again only time will tell.I wouldnt change from flying the 777 to the a380.I know cathay is mulling over it but they are not in favour of it neither is Jal which has so many 747s its amazing. For my mind the success of the A380 relies on alot of the asian market and with only 2 customers from this part of the world so far i dont know how good sales will be.One thing is for sure Ansett wont be buying it thats for sure they will be lucky to last the week out.
RE: B 747 SP
well it depends on the location you have the souk area which is all the markets and the city and the beach
if you have the $$ stay at the burj al arab about 600$us a nite its the worlds only 7 star hotel and the highest hotel in the world its by the beach. A little cheaper by the beach is the le meridian royal which is about $120 us a nite in the city the rydges plaza is $120 us a nite hope that gives you some help.Yeah i agreee i dont need ff points
RE: BA & concorde pilot trouble
i wouldnt mind a shot at it but i think my licence for the 777 is safe cos its a great aircraft
RE: BA & A380?
thats what i have been hearing through the vine to
RE: looking for people!!!
greekdude1 and myself but as an airline pilot
RE: B 747 SP
you wont get a emirates flight in the usa just yet maybe in the future but not yet we dont enter the usa.
you must have a few ff points wish i could get some to but the again for me to fly half way around the world only costs about 300$ so you cant beat that.
dubai is fantastic and real cheap to its one of the most thriving cities in the midlle east
RE: B 747 SP
can i ask what your job is? do you work for an airline and steer clear of united
RE: B 747 SP
yeah i speak fluent greek to
we fly the 777-200 into syd via sin 4 times a week and the 777-300 to melb daily via sin we are looking at getting 777er for dxb-perth nonstop in march 02
ath-dxb is equiped by the a300 which we use on shorter routes but with a good capacity
you should try emirates out one day i think you may like it for service and class
RE: whats the best airline and aircraft you have flown
the first aircraft i flew was the 767-300 and that is a better cabin than the a340-300 atleast for its size its not as cramped as the a340 2-3-2 is better than 2-4-2
RE: B 747 SP
yeah i get tutoring in dubai for arabic and i fly into sydney for emirates
i had been on a 747-238 my god it is a old thing i think nearly 25 years old
so do you speak any greek i am flying dubai heathrow on sunday next week we have a bidding system that allows us to choose our routes which is a very good idea.
fave destination is hong kong
