    Resurrection!

Sorry to drag this up from the archives!! I have still been unable to contact Geoff D Copeman after using his last known address. In his book Bomber Squadrons at War, (Which, thanks to you lot, I managed to grab a copy of thanks to a kind young lady who contacted me via this forum!!!) many of the crew photos are taken by a Mrs Kay Rowlands. I am unsure if he was in possesion of them or used them with her permission. Do any of you here still know if Mr Copeman is still with us and his current address? Or indeed the same with Mrs Rowlands. The reason I ask, is that another relative of the crew of Lancaster RF124 LE-S 630 squadron, that crashed near me here in Wednesfield, has very recently asked if I could trace photos of the rest of the crew. I have been able to oblige with images of FO Ronnie O’Donnell and FS John Sills. I am now after images of FO bernard Hall, FO Victor Meade, FS Gordon Rabbetts, FS Reginald Smith and FS Vincent Southworth and also of the aircraft itself. I have sent letters e-mails to the local papers in the areas where their partial remains were laid to rest, with just one response in respect of Victor Meade.
Hoping that you can once again help me.

    Kind regards to all

Bloody hell 😮 did you Mrs believe your explanation 😀

No problem……. the friction burns on the knees and elbows have been somewhat harder to explain tho…….. 😉

Spoke to someone at the cricket club last night who told of a similar incident with his mobile phone and the metal necklace thingy on his works ID card in his shirt pocket. Killed the phone and burned his nipple!!

Bu99er, nobody fell for it…. was going to say it was told to me by a scandinavian friend Bjarnes Walleson! 😉

On a serious note…. The britannia doing pleasure flights to european airshows would be good. Would help to pay for upkeep of the beautiful thing.

    Dreams can come true.

Well at least this mornings news ticks one of my boxes. At least we’ll have at least one lightning gracing UK skies again. 🙂

The title needs some addition to the wording as there have only been 35 viewers so far!

“Pilot destroys underpants in Hamburg” ?

Winds were apparently gusting in the region of 50 knots? Would love to hear the CVR.

Maybe not. In a related query, is the opening shot of the Curry’s TV advert the American Air Museum at Duxford ? Or is there another futuristic curved building with glass frontage around ?

    .

There is a similar building to the AAM in Irvine, Scotland. (same architect) It looks very similar but a bit smaller. It used to be the venue of a kids science centre called “the big idea”, but I believe it closed a while back. Don’t know what its used for now

On a purely selfish Wolves fan stance…… Many thanks also to Sir Jack Hayward for his last minute cash injection. He has helped 2 things that are very close to my heart, have a future. Hope you are sitting down in the Bahamas, with a pint of Banks’s Bitter and a very satisfied grin on your face.
    Cheers Sir Jack!
Surely we should have a flight over The Molineux, preferably just before a Baggies match, just to say thanks?! 😀
