Great photos Britannia! Yay summer season = lots of new airlines at STN! Today I got to see my first Iberworld at STN (EC-IMU) and tomorrow will be the first Cyprus Airways A330 flight (upgraded from A320) 😀

Looks like Stansted is set for another great terminal, with the last one being an award winner for originality etc. This would be very nice, and would take us one step above Manchester I think, considering the PAX numbers being nearly identical already. Just need to get the spotting situation sorted 🙁

It’s just getting round all of these anti-expansion people. If you came down here for the day, you’ll note how the whole area is covered in fluorescent yellow, green and orange billboards with ‘No way BAA’ and ‘You are now entering Darling’s newly proposed airport’.

Andy, try this yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gatwick/

If you register you will then be able to view all the messages, and someone is likely to know something about it. I use the Stansted yahoo group all the time to keep upto date with everything going on here.

Brilliant pictures! Particularly like the first shot of the Saab. What is Arlanda like in terms of PAX numbers and movements? It think Stockholm has 2 other airports, I’m guessing Arlanda is the busiest?

Bmused: And what makes it even better is that Qantas is in the top 5 airlines, with their brilliant IFE :p

Gpb: Yep out of all the flights I’m looking forward to the Fokker 50 the most! Our flight is a 30 minute hop at a very low cruising altitude over the rainforests.

Watch out for lots of wingview shots! 😀

Yep ATL really is great….and huge! I flew in on an MD-11 and back out again on a 764. Brilliant, especially the landing. It feels like you’re flying off the runway on the high speed at a few hundred knots as they desperately scramble so as not to cause a go-around! And on take-off, don’t expect much waiting around!

Me me me! Within the next 14 days I have 8 flights 😀 Out of these, I go through 4 airports I’ve never flown from/to before, and get to go on my first memorable 747 flight (I was quite young to remember much about my last one). And! I get to fly on my first turbo-prop airliner…..the Fokker 50 😀

Agree with Bmused there! On monday I have to connect twice on my way to Borneo, and in my opinion will be one of the best parts of the holiday! Should be very interesting, and lots of wing view pics to follow! 😀

RYR 738? I know it’s a long shot, but it seems like there may be some sort of harp/angel arrangement on the tail!
