I think that’s asking for just a bit too much! That’s almost like copying the website

And here. These were both taken before I flew to Glasgow in December, I was hoping to get some better one’s than this!

Great report Martin, did you depart from the ‘Charlie’ satellite at STN? I think it’s the gates around 80-90 or so, and Easyjet use it a lot of the time. I really dislike that satellite, the windows are really unclean and the best photo’s you can get from there are ones like the one below, not too good.

Great pictures Pete, particularly like that World Airways shot! I really have to get over to Amsterdam in the Summer, I can fly from STN return inc taxes for as little as £36 on Easyjet 😀

I believe that would be the world’s only 7* hotel (please correct me if I’m wrong). It is in the shape of a boat’s sail, very unique.

I take a visit upto Stansted atleast every week, as my house is only 3 miles from the end of the runway, about 5 miles by road. Aslong as the weather is ok, I just jump on my bike, and half an hour later I’m sitting in the approach field! It is good enought to satisfy my needs, and the odd photo here and there, but I much prefer LHR for a full day out spotting, mainly because of all the extra action. Mind you, Stansted isn’t doing too bad these days with lots of extra flights, so I never get bored any more like I used to when i was younger!

Interflug62M, where are you working now at STN?

The engines are the same diameter as the width of a 737’s fuselage. However wide that is, you tell me!

    Air Uk Leisure 767 Gatwick-Orlando in 1995

The very first time I flew, I was 5 years old flying on Air Uk Leisure 767 to Florida. I went up and saw the cockpit during flight (back in the good ol’ days!) and on the way back down I told my dad I wanted to be a pilot. Stuck to this day!

I think it also helps that I’m only a few miles from Stansted and so since quite an early age I’ve been able to ride my bike up there and sit in the approach fields, and also my school is on the final approach for the runway aswell.

Chances are it wasn’t fitted into the frame exactly. A lot of DSLR’s out there can take pictures from around 4-6 million pixels wide, and so there is huge amounts of room to crop the picture and making it all fit in. Credit to the photographer still, it’s an excellent photo and an excellent angle.
