Don’t they ever learn?! If they make bomb scares then they are gonna be dealt with in a serious way, especially in the current security situation!

A day off at school because of the weather? That’s ridiculous! Lazy!
Our school closed! There’s nothing me or anyone else could have done about it, but I’m certainly not complaining! Me and my friends all look forward to ‘snow-day’ every year, when we will almost definitely get a day where the school closes, and we go and have fun!

Throwing salt on the runway could also be useful if there is snow forecasted, or would the engines suck it all up anyway?
You cannot put salt on the airport. You can get salt corrosion on the aircraft, particularly in the engines. You will find that some smaller props that operate around the sea all the time, have to have regular salt-corrosion checks, as it can lead to quite bad results if it is not checked and maintained. It is mentioned in the latest AW magazine, in the Winair article.
I’ve just found out the flight details for certain, and I’m so excited. We’re flying on Lufthansa from Heathrow-Frankfurt, likely to be an Airbus.
Then from Frankfurt-Singapore on a Qantas 747-400.
Then from Singapore-Kota Kinabalu on an Australian Airlines 767! I’d never even considered this airline, I can’t wait! I love their livery aswell!
6 flights in 12 days!:D 😀 😀 😀 Oh well I’ve gotta wait another 2 months yet…… 🙁
Yes all very nice! Particularly the 1st one!
Nice pictures WD! I think that Do328 is one of the best looking props, behind the Dash8-400! 😀
Very nice! Very strange all the same!
Nothing stands out about it. Better than some liveries such as Air Scandic, but nothing special.

P.S. Wannabe, where are you flying to/from?
As far as I can work out, Im flying Heathrow-Singapore on a Qantas 747, and then onwards to Kota Kinabalu (in Borneo) via Kuala Lumpur with Malaysian Airlines. However, our final itinerary hasn’t been sent through yet, and so this is just an assumption. All that is definite is that the main leg is being flown by Qantas, and we are stopping in Singapore.
Just watched it, quite a good programme I thought. Now I really want to go to Tahiti, it looked so nice!:D
MAN has the exact attitude to have! As mentionjed, it’s a shame the BAA can’t see sense. They seem blind to real life, they’re living in their own little dream world of spotter hate and terrorist threats.
Yes this really is a shame. They seemed like a real good airline after reading the article in AW, and I was expecting them to be around a lot longer.
It is more or less a copy of Tahiti Nui, but it’s still very nice! Nice colours, but I think they were a bit brave putting green up against orange!
Yay this is good news for me, as I’m flying them in about 2 months time! I didn’t understand, how it was £50 cheaper to fly with Qantas than it was Royal Brunei. Or are Royal Brunei likely to be better, but just not very well known?
6 years old! I thought aircraft tyres were replaced every week or month?
