I saw this earlier, and thought ‘wow!’. I want to see the northern lights one day, seeing them from a plane would be even better!

Looks very nice! The old livery wasn’t too bad either, but this does look nice.

😮 Very nice model! I want one! It looks like the wing on that A319 is about the same size as the one of the tail wings on the back of the A380!

Yes I think that for some reason there always seem to be lots in Spain, but they do appear else where around the world. When I was up the Stansted control tower last week, I saw an Excel 767 being escorted to it’s parking stand in this way.

Very nice! If it wasn’t for the little bit of blur like you mentioned, that’d be airliners.net material!:D

Ryanair does a minimum to maintain their aircraft. I flew on a 738 the other day from STN to CRL and the right engine nacelle was damaged by a ground vehicle or so, and it was extremely un-aerodynamically repaired. It looked like they hammered some bended small sheets of aluminium on it.

What they had probably done was temporarily repaired it with this particular aluminium ‘tape’. It comes in large rolls, just like selotape, but it is quite thick and very strong. In the hangar they use it just as a quick repair tool to make sure it can’t get any worse, and then they will repair it properly either over night, or when it next goes in for it’s check.

Yes I mean CRJ/ERJ/AVRO kinda stuff. But I mean some pictures maybe of the smaller airports? Whether you can get them whilst taxiing or on approach of whatever? I know the pressures of the job may not allow this, I thought I may aswell ask!;)

Excellent pics WD! All of them are very interesting indeed, nice to see some of these kinda shots. I know that those Embraers can get into fairly small airports, is there any chance of you being able to get some shots from some of the smaller places? Sorry but I have this kinda obsession for smaller aircraft and smaller airports 😀

I have been in the FLS hangar at Stnatsed where my dad works fairly recently. I watched ‘undercarriage swings’ on an Aegean 737-400, which was on jacks. Also got to sit in several Easyjet 737’s, wonder in and around all the planes looking at the engines and flaps and everything, and also speant about 20 minutes in the cockpit of an Excel 737-800.

Looks interesting! And with flights for around £10, maybe I can get some more spotting trips in! I doubt they will come to Stansted though, but I could always hope 😀

Talking of low-costs in the UK, my dad has just told me that the proposed airline ‘Now’ has already gone into receivership. All of their ex-Go aircraft that they bought have been grounded, and it looks like it’s the end of the road for this one, without it even getting into the air.

Going back to the point about small bands never getting noticed, it doesn’t seem fair does it? They try all they can, with whatever equipment they can afford, playing wherever they’re given a chance. And then I found out today, after tickets for the RHCP gig in Hyde Park went on sale at 9am yesterday, they were sold out by 9:33am! We (me and my mates) managed to grab 7 tickets, and so it looks like I should be going…….aslong as someone else isn’t willing to pay more for a ticket than me!
