Some good photos there Kev. Like the Bmi ERJ’s, shame they dont come to Heathrow
Some great pics there, well done. I would love to see some more!:D
Mark, I haven’t a clue why it was here. It is the second one I have seen in sevral weeks, at first I thought it could have been the Manchester flight, but then Eastern airways have taken that one off BA’s hands.
And finally, a new reg for me! Britsh European Dash 8 G-JEDX. This is probably my favourite one 😀
BA Citiexpress ATP G-MAJM
Ryanair 738 EI-DAJ
Easyjet 737 G-OFRA
G-OLOD
A few more pics from Saturday morning, atlast some sunshine! The same mistakes again, taking the pics too early, but not as early as the other day, so I will hopefully get gradually better.
The first one was a very lucky site, a private 7771:D It is actually Mid East Jet and it’s reg is N777AS. Sorry about the bit of sunglare in the corner. You can also see a Ryanair that has taken off at the top of the picture.
A good report there, seems like you saw quite a nice bunch of aircraft there. I read somewhere that Concorde does not fly on Saturdays. Is this true? As I was hoping to get up there this coming Saturday but if that is the case, I will have to make it Sunday. Is Sunday quieter than the other days?
OK, I look forward to seeing them. It looks like I will be up there again tomoorow morning for some more pics. You might get the 6pm(ish) Asiana arrival.
A very nice pic there. Was that full 10X zoom? I accidentally had full zoom (3X) on a Britannia 757 and it was enough so that it zoomed in just on the wings as it flew over me, so I probably can try a few close-ups, I just didn’t wanna try anything too special on my first go.
That’s absolutely fantastic Martin!:D 😀 😀 😀
I bet you can’t wait now until you start the course, and didn’t you mention VFR training in texas aswell, that will be great. Best of luck
Only 3X, but as I said it was this that made me decide amongst the ohters, as digital zoom just downgrades the quality of the picture. I could only get more optical zoom by going way upto the top of the range and pay something like £600, a bit too much when I only earn £25 a week! However, saying this, on the approach shots I actually had to end up zooming out even with the 737’s as they began to fill the screen.
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I know the weather was not great. It’s typical though, wednesday was really nice, today has been very hot but yesterday it wll clouded over in the afternoon, just when I was planning to take some shots. As most of the shots were also early evening, it has also made them quite dark, I think it’s either best to get them when it’s nice and bright, or nearer sunset to get some silouhettes, not in the middle. In the end I got a Goodmans G-shot 3020Z with 3.2 million pixels and also optical zoom, the one thing that made me decide to get this one rather than some of the other bottom-of-the-range cameras, as most only had digital zoom, which gives the photos bad quality.
