Interesting Elgan.
So what’s so good about Chicago? I don’t know much about American cities, and I’d definitely like to visit some more. I’ve flown through Los Angeles, Atlanta, Cincinnati, New York and Chicago, but never stopped. The only American citiies I have visisted are Miami and Honolulu. Sorry…this is kinda going off of the point now..
Thanks Matt!
An excellent report and some great photos too mate.
Can you tell me a bit more about your reasons for not particularly enjoying San Francisco? It’s a place I (thought) I fancied visiting.
Thanks very much everyone for all your kind comments! Tis all greatly appreciated.
And then finally…….cheers for taking a look!

Excellent work Paul, I’m surprised that the first two Astraeus and PIA shots aren’t heat hazed! Good to see BYAF, an aircraft I’ve been on.
Sorry about the delayed response, life is busy! Some very interesting shots, LAS looks like an excellent vantage point/variety.
Excellent work Jon, BHX is an airport I’d like to try again for photography. I have been once with Mark L and we couldn’t find anywhere, + the weather couldn’t have got much darker/colder. I’m considering STN-DUB-BHX or some combination like that. Quicker and cheaper than the roads!
Great work Tom, especially the last shot! Touch downs make for some of my favourite photos, and they’re also very fun to take.
Excellent work Paul, especially the flying taxi (HLX!).
Great shots both of you!
The Bmi A319 I think is still one of the smartest planes to be seen flying about, even when I have seen countless numbers of them at LHR.
Great shots!
I have flown on G-JMCD before with forum member Wysiwyg at the controls as F/O, flying to ACE.
Also just found out that I have flown on the MYT G-BYTH, but back in 1998 when it was wearing these colours anda different reg http://airliners.net/open.file/0851321/L/
ryanair dont just fly to the little airports they fly to the ones in the middle of no where at least easyjet will take you to a good secondary airport.
It’s the same debate again….the ‘middle of nowhere’ to you, but what about the people who live near the airport? I flew to Ciampino airport on FR a few weeks back. It’s twice as close to Rome as Fiumicino, and all it cost us was about £8 return for a half hour coach journey right into central Rome. It was a very similar story when I flew to Milan Bergamo on them.
Sorry to detract away from the original posting, and for probably sparking a very tedious debate that has been spoken many times before.
Thanks once again guys for the comments, greatly appreciated!
Thanks everyone for the very kind comments!
