I think Peter Tenthije uses it, he posts on the forum with shots from AMS etc. The equivalent Canon would be the 75-300 f/4-5.6 III USM which is what I use (same price as the Sigma too). Latest results can be seen at the links below to give you an idea.

Nice stuff Grey
Nice 😀
Did you stand on top of a terminal building taking those first pictures? -Good angle 😀
They’re taken from the short-stay car park, most likely the top floor (floor 13) 🙂
Best to have a glance down the page before you post a new thread.
Thought REM did a good job too. But the best bit was Hey Jude at the end…what a way to finish.

Canadian airline that promised direct 757 flights to Canada from London Stansted only last year.
Can you remember who this was? Because Zoom fly from Stansted, but on a rather useless once-fortnightly service.
Well this definitely looks the furthest one of these start-ups has got, as they actually appear to own a plane. Still waiting for more news on Eos airlines… http://www.eosairlines.com/index.html
A route to the East coast would definitely work, it is where STN is severely lacking. There are hundreds of thousands of people (if not millions) living in the Herts, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk areas of the South-East that would use a route to the East coast from STN, rather than taking on the pretty ridiculous transport system to get them accross London to LHR of LGW.
Steveyoung, actually it as the WELSH Bowmen who were feared, going back to medieval times. Whilst they were in the English Army, as they were captured, they were not English in nationality… A picky point, i know, but i’m a bit of a stickler for detail when Welsh history is involved…
BARNOWL
I was going to say I thought it was the Welsh. The song lyrics come from a Welsh band, Funeral for a Friend.

Continuing the Agincourt theme, the reason why the two fingered salute has become a very British insult…
French soldiers were very fearful of the English longbowmen, whose accuracy and weight of fire caused high casualties among the French. So when English longbowmen were captured by the French, they had their first and second fingers of the right hand cut off, so that they could never fire the longbow again.
In response to this, the English longbowmen would take great delight before battle in waving their right hands in the air towards the French, with their first and second fingers fully extended, taunting the French and inviting them to come and fight if they dared…
“Archers in your arches, raise your fingers for one last salute”
The best line from one of the best songs of my favourite band 😀 :p

Great shots Elgan! I flew EI-DAO back from the DUB meet in December. Was there a viewing area at ORK, or were you just taking those shots from the departure lounge or something? It seems as though there are some rotations infront of the terminal…looks like it could be quite good with my camera..
Great stuff Tom, really like that first 146 close-up. Such photogenic aircraft..
Probably not worth my input because I’d be highly surrpised if anyone has heard of the band that I’d like to mention…
But they are an Orange County metalcore band called ‘Atreyu’, and the solo in their song ‘Right Side of the Bed’ sends shivers through me everytime I hear it, bringing back the memories of how it felt numerous times I’ve seen them live. Definitely my fave!
And out of the classics, I love Jimi Hendrix – Fire.
