A card reader would be my first suggestion.
Or go to a specialist who deals with digital cameras and/or memory cards… they may be able to help or suggest somewhere else
I’ll head into town when I get a chance, and go to the camera shop. See if there’s a way of getting them. Money can be found and memory cards can be replaced….but photos cannot. I don’t think it’s possible for them to just delete themselves is it?

Sad to hear about the memory card.
You might be able to recover the data though.
That’s what I was thinking, the data cant just disappear into thin air. But how could I retrieve it? Because when I get my photos off the cards, I plug them into the camera and then plug the camera into the computer via a USB. Now the camera wont accept the card…and I doubt any other card reader will either

Well done on those Mark, nice ones. I see you’ve pretty much got to grips with the Z10 now. Great camera when it wants to be, isn’t it 😀 :p

Hi!
First time I’ve had a chance to sit down in an internet cafe here. Everything is going well, and Hawaii is just amazing. There’s too many ways to describe how it, but I’m loving everything about it.
Flights here on AA were very good indeed, and I can confidently say that the first leg (LHR-JFK) was one of my best flights (definately in the top 2 or 3), out of about 60 flights I’ve flown in the last 10 years. The aircraft was great, with more than enough leg room, and the service in general was very pleasent. Food was great, and I spent most of the last 2 hours of the flight sat at the rear galley talking with the friendly flight attendants.
The other 2 flights were both very good, although they’re not really comparable seeing as the service is completely different between international and domestic services.
Yesterday however, was my best flight. 😀 Onboard a Cessna Stationair sea plane, for a 30 minute trip over the island, getting in all the sights from 1500ft, including HNL airport, Hickham AFB and Pearl Harbour. The lagoon from which we took off and landed, is just at the back of HNL airport. Therefore, the downwind leg on the approach actually bought us over the top of the airport, and so I have some nice aerial photos of the terminals etc.
I begin my flights home on Wednesday, and should get to spend a couple of hours at HNL getting some nice photos, as the airside passages between the piers are all open air, with no fences or windows at all to obscure the parked planes. I eventually arrive back late on Thursday evening, and so I should get some of them back on here by Friday.
Now it’s back to the beach for an hour or two of body-boarding before sunset 😀 :p

Hi everyone, currently sitting at LHR T3 waiting for a gate to be announced.Using some very anoying metal keypad so please excuse spelling mistakes. I’m checked in all the wayto HNL, with a window seat on every flight. For the LHR-JFK leg I’m in seat 38A which I think is near the back.
T3 airside seem much better than T1 in terms of shopping, although it’s difficult to get near a windowto see out.
Steve, I’m staying just 10 minutes from Hanuama Bay and so will definitely be snorkelling there.
Better go now and find the gate, se if I can get a few pictures from the pier.
Bye!

My flights outbound are AA101/117/267 (LHR-JFK-LAX-HNL),
and inbound AA162/30/142 (HNL-LAX-JFK-LHR). Inbound is leaving on the 6th April, landing back at LHR on the 7th. Incase anyone is around at any airport to grab a photo of me.
I’m off now to pack, so have a good couple of weeks and I’ll update you if I run into an internet cafe or something. 😀

HNL is a great airport for spotting, landside. Mostly 767’s nowadays as all the US carriers use those into HNL. About 10 years ago, nothing but trijets and 747 classics. You still see the occassional NW DC-10, however. What hotel are you staying at?
Queen Kapiloani, right near the foothills of Diamond Head (the quieter end of Waikiki). So would you recommend that when I fly home, I spend as much time as possible landside before going through departures? Or are there other good spots airside too?
