Wouldn’t it be at the point, just before a shade of colour turns to black? When the smallest amount of light is reflected off the colour to make it a colour, rather than black.

But what is the smallest amount, and surely that amount could get continually smaller until it’s ridiculously close to being black? Hmm..

You want to try and edit it for me Dan? If yes, i’ll send the original to you tonight?
Don’t have to, but you did some good work on Mark’s shots.

Yup no probs, send full size original to daniel_nicholson2000@yahoo.com . I’ll get onto it asap and send it back to you.

I too managed to miss the report. Interesting read and great pics. A.net should be persuaded to accept that overview shot with a little sharpening of the edges and levelling of the horizon. I’d say the un-level horizon is probably the main reason for the rejection, they usually require them dead straight.

Top 10 bands:

1) Funeral for a Friend
2) Atreyu
3) The Used
4) Taking Back Sunday
5) 36 Crazyfists
6) Thrice
7) Finch
8) Hell is for Heroes
9) Slipknot
10) AFI

It’s pretty damn difficult to name those, due to the number of other bands I listen to. They also tend to move up the list after I’ve seen them live too.

jesus what do you do study that kinda stuff

As Gefore said, a very basic concept (although I’m a long way from being in the first year of uni!). I could go into more detail but it would only make sense to a few people. That’s about as simple as I could put it.

Why the slow birth rate? Western Europe is a nice place, decent economies, the highest standard of living in its history, good food and drink, parts of it have nice weather….so what’s the problem?

I think it’s known as Stage 4 of the Demographic Transition Model. A country will start it’s development in Stage 1 (this is where most 3rd world countires are currently). There is a very high death rate due to famines and disease, and a high birth rate due to very limited contraception etc. They will then move into Stage 2 where technological advances and better education will help to stop people dying, and so the death rate will drop. The population increases, until people realise there is a problem and learn to use contraception. Then the birth rate begins to decrease too.

Stage 3 is where most modern world “developed” countries stand at the moment. Birth rate and death rate stay low, and at around the same level as each other. This provides a much more stable country, where the population is quite rigid and we can deal with health problems. However, from stage 2 to 3 we saw the birth rate dropping. This doesn’t stop, and so eventually the birth rate line will drop below the death rate line. This is stage 4, and where the population begins to decrease. I believe Germany is already bordering on this stage, and other Western European countries are forecast to move into it in the not-too-distant future.

Of course not everyone believes this theory, but just my contribution.

my lifes pretty normal although ive done some crazy things, prob the weirdst thing was last year at ex RAF Debden (wing field day with the spitfire (AB910) racing over head at about 30 Ft full chat. made my camera shake so much the footage was bouncy!!! great experience never been so excited hope its better this year!

Remember the field day year before last, with the heli? Trying to stand at attention whilst the damn thing manouvered back and forwards right infront of the parade, dipping it’s nose up and down 30-50ft above the ground.

Great report, I’ll be flying this route in just under 2 weeks time. Although the low pax numbers are disappointing, I’m actually quite pleased in a way because the first train from my home town only gets me to LGW 1 hour before departure, and there’s no way I’m going without a window seat!

OK mate, give me a link and i’ll do that!

http://www.photobucket.com . Sign up for a free account and upload your photos there. Then just link them back to here. Try and be selective though, if you try linking too many it’ll exceed the bandwidth allowance and the shots wont show up.

Well why say it? 😀 I guess you went home alone then ? :diablo: :dev2: 😉

‘Certain girl’ could just mean that I wouldn’t say her name, because it wouldn’t be of any relevance to anyone on here whether they knew her name or not 😉

But in all honesty ‘certain girl’ actually meant the friend of a friend from school, I say certain because I barely know her and it was her whom I’d brought a spare ticket from for the gig. I only knew I was going 3 days ago!

And what about that “certain girl” you were meeting at the station?

Go on give us the gossip !!! 😀

Did any of what I said suggest that I might be planning on something happening?! 😉 :p

Saturday i’m off to a gig in the evening. The afternoon may be spent nursing a hangover

Have fun at Hundred Reasons Kye, they should put on a great show! (usually rated atleast 8 out of 10 live 😀 ) And make sure you get in the mosh for full enjoyment.

Well that’s the first bit over! Just got up after my gig at the Brixton academy. Bloody excellent show, although being pushed to the floor and stuck for about 10 minutes wasn’t particularly nice, especially when other people around me were beginning to faint etc. Ah well, I made up for it in the end! Got work in an hour though… 🙁
