Great news for people like me, who have an increasing number of destinations for small prices right at our doorstep! But if FR open up this new LPL base, do you think a STN-LPL route may be viable? I know it’s close to the BLK route, but I think this is already quite popularly established. I think atleast a 1x daily from STN-LPL would be sustainable to begin with.

Ah, why can’t they start or propose a MAN-STN service?! I think it would be a greatly popular route, as a large majority of people trying to travel between the two are not willing to pay Eastern Airway’s excessive prices. Instead they willgo through the difficulty of flying Bmi from LHR (like I am next week) which costs about double the money, when you have to take in account transport to get right across London too.

hi there sorry for delay fr202 dub-stn fr205 stn-dub then there is 2 more during the day, but don’t know which flights as dublin is soon to be all 800’s, most of the flights are done by stn based planes to dublin these days, i used to love flying on the bac1-11 when i first started working for them hated the atr42 but hope you get on the 200 soon, as they are fab to work on the noise the vibrations all will be missed.

    R.I.P buzz stansted

Thanks for that, do you have any approximate dates for when the -200’s will retire from the DUB-STN routes?

Myself and A330Crazy are also coming to Dublin on 16 December. We’ve just booked our Aer Lingus flights from Heathrow.

Fantastic, look forward to meeting you both! Shame about that Allen, maybe some other time.

Excellent news, another option for many of us South-England spotters to get to MAN! Hopefully this might also force down Eastern Airway’s pices on the STN route. I can see myself booking myself on to one of these Jet2 flights some time in the near future….
