Then just a couple more. My camera wasn’t operating to it’s usual quality in the bad weather conditions and dark skies, but here are just a couple you might be interested in seeing. I also have a pic of a rare 727 with winglets, but I can’t get it under the 100kb limit without the quality decreasing to a point hwere you will hardly be able to look at it!

Just gotta couple of other photos from today here. My main intention was to catch the Polet An-124, but it departed just as I left my house 🙁 Here it is from the bottom of my street anyway….

I’ve just been thinking this one through carefully, and have decided that I may be treading on delicate issues if I start giving you a full account with all my pictures of what happened. If the same information is released by the press then I know Im safe, but until then I had better just leave it to that single picture and what the media have told you.

You bet I was there to see it 😉 I’ll come back asap with a full report of what I saw etc, very busy at the moment making sure my pics are the first to make it on the net. In the meantime here is the very first picture http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=363216

The shear-pin snapped, disconnecting the tug and tow-bar from the plane. The tug driver’s natural reaction would be to stop and see what has happened, whereas the plane would carry on rolling as it was moving and hit the tug.

FR may have more flights from STN but theior headquarters are in Dublin. All their planes are Irish registered.

But STN is still their base. DUB is their HQ, but their main base is still STN. There’s no reason why DUB should be the base, I don’t think it was Ryanair’s original birth place. They started flying from Waterford-Gatwick, so you may want to say that Waterford is their base. This is obviously not the case….

Think I may have already seen it over the school on Friday. Was either the Air Berlin one, or this new one. Weather appears to be cheering up at the moment, wonder whether I should try my luck up STN this afternoon…

Grey Area, shame about your ear infection. And a shame about not being able to see the CL215 aswell 🙁

On the 28th Mark and I fly back to Heathrow on BD589 which leaves MAN at 14:30. We should be in the terminal from around midday, so we can get up to the roof top. Before then, we’re likely to be over the AVP or ‘the pub’. Will be good to meet you if you do make it, but as you say we can arrange things nearer the time.

Bloody idiots. Are they planning to use the A330 on prime domestic routes like Sydney to Perth, for instance? I think it would be a good idea as them 767s are knackered!

When was the last time you flew on one? Or are you just making assumptions again? I flew on one 3 months ago, and as Mongu said it was fine. Very clean, nice interior and was much, much better than the BA 767 I flew on later that day.

Yep I have to agree with you there. Was glad when I managed to get some archive movements and find out the reg’s of my Delta flights back in 2002. Discovered my MD-11 was N813DE, the only one to make it into the newest scheme.

I’m trying to find reg’s (and probably never will) for the following flights:

I could give more exact dates if I looked into certain relative’s diary’s, but I’m doubtful that I’ll be able find the reg’s even with that.

    Lufthansa A321 STN-FRA Easter 2000
    CSA 735 FRA-PRG Easter 2000
    CSA 734 PRG-FRA Easter 2000
    Lufthansa A320 FRA-STN Easter 2000

    Go 737 STN-PRG-STN August 2001

    Air UK Leisure 767 LGW-SFB-LGW March 1995

A bit off topic but did you see the AN124 yesterday at STN WP?

No I didn’t unfortunately, wasn’t sure of it til I heard something ruble over the town.

Just curious to know GLAsgow why you love Stansted? I’m not gonna go against you, cos it’s my home airport, but just curious to know?!

Excellent selection of shots there, especially like the 1900D shots. But didn’t you go to see your new livery etc? Got any shots to show us of that?

Great to see some of your musical tastes, keep them rolling in!

Have been playing The Pixies now for the past 3 days constantly, especially Doolittle.

SteveYoung, I got the REM greatest a little while ago. Certainly is a very good album 😀

Good to see yet more routes being served from my door-step, but it seems like quite a big challenge to Easyjet competing directly against them on the Valencia and Almeria routes. It says how they compete against EZY on the ‘Barcelona’ route, but we are infact talking about Girona vs El Prat. Here, they are actually using the same airports. Strange…
