Nice photos. Anyone have any idea what that little symbol just forward of the first door on the NZ 744 is?
they are the names of the aircraft. It’s a little picture of a map of where the aircraft is named after. i know one is called “Bay of Plenty” and others are named after various other areas of NZ

fantastic selection of pics there
wonderful shots there. it’s always weird to see the props in photos like that cause they seem as though they are only supported by the nose wheel, and the rest of the fuselage is just hanging off the other end
I may be committing Blasphemy here, but is the Channel Tunnel an option?
i.e. if everyone does decide on a meet, but it isn’t easily accessible by air through lack of routes at local airport, or if the route does exist it is too expensive, would getting the train there be viable?
Happy birthday! Hope you’re having a good one!
although i dont know any of you, and dont have any fancy pieces of photography…i still wouldnt mind tagging along if thats ok.
im at T in the park w/e 7th-9th and i dont know where i will be working during the summer yet to plan the time off, but id still like to voice my interest 🙂
yeah…..im not totally sure they would let it fly once past its elastic limit. if it went plastic it would not only change the aerodynamics of the wing profile, it would also highly increase the chance of the wings yielding under the stress it is exhibited to.
perhaps after thorough investigation they concluded they wings were still within the elastic region after the incident OR they were not far into the plastic region to be any great concern (contradictory to the above i know, but im no expert (yet ;)))
Radio presenter.
Anyone able to locate the pictures they mentioned on their website?
now whats the correct name for the job he was doing 😉
Well as far as i know, it will be attending Farnborough International this year which would be great to see 😀
do you think they will put Virgin stickers on it like they did for the Asia/Australasia tour?
