Many thanks to all. The constructors numbers are very interesting but it does not seem possible to match them with the losses involved. Not just that but they do not run in sequence with the aircraft serial numbers. Thanks for clarifying this puzzle for me, insofar as I can stop going down this path. It sems to be a dead end.

Thanks for your help. Pity about the MG numbers. We have a crash location but not the Battle serial number for certain. I was hoping to work backwards to confirm the aircraft serial.
