yeah true I’m not saying the 350D is a bad camera but when I pick up my 30D there is no comparison, the 350D feels like a toy.
Best advice is to goto the shop and try them out.
The lens also helps 😉
I’d say 30D aswell, it just is better! Feels like a camera 😉
PH-BQE, dark, departing is a mint shot!
Sun came out for the PZ aswell 😉
I’m going AMS end of April! be my first visit to that spot!
Booooooooooooo LEEDS!!! :diablo: :dev2:
Nice and sharp shots there! that Jet2 737 certainly has a steep climb on there!
Looks like a nice day. some of the shots are cracking.
The blue prop is Ravenair, Partenavia P-68B Victor.

Looks like your getting to grips with the camera a bit more. what happened to the GMP 😉
Next time try getting the sun on the right side (I know u know as you said backlit) and you’ll see a greater improvement over these, just look at the monarch, nice colours and sharp with the sun on its side.
Keep up the practise as you obviously have an eye for a good shot.
Well done
Ian
Nice pics fella!
Catch you down LHR soon, if if blue skies I’m most likely to be there.

Lens was a 100-400 IS L. Excellent for this spot.
I was pleased to see the Brunei, first photo of one for me, shame the tail is a bit soft.
Want a good shot of the new Virgins next.
I see we are back to rain and wind for the next week! Nice!
a couple more but these aren’t the best as they took of early and were to high, but shows what stuff we got today, saw the new IB A319 aswell.

I like the US Army prop doing its Hedgehog impression!
Must be some kind of Comms platform / relay station with all those antennas.
long exposure for the AN-225 looks like a TC taxied past whilst the shot was being taken!
seen the FA cup draw?
good stuff Sam, nice and sharp!
SAS is a great one!
These are right of the camera without editing?
Just picking up on the comment of uploading to JP. As some look a little soft and need a bump with the sharpen tool and a levels adjustment.
Roll on nice weather!
I often shoot night sports at ISO3200, so remembering to change back the settings is now part of my pre-trip check! I’ve been caught out before.
I always check before I leave so when I arrive at the airport I can grab the cam and shoot, instead of fiddling around and missing stuff.
I suppose its like following a workflow in photoshop!
CF cards, empty and loaded!
ISO and RAW selected
Batts
hats and gloves!
Beer money 😉
