for spotting only the visitor centre is OK if they are landing 27R. I’d go to Hatton Cross as previously mentioned over near 27L. For photos goto Mrytle Ave for 27L arrivals, for 27R arrivals its hard as all the places are shut now.
them VC-10’s are that old I think its a common problem these days that the engines fail. I was working at Brize once on one of the tanker varients! dunno how it was still in the sky!
I think LAX is an A346 aswell, look on a.net for Virgin at LAX> I am defo on one of those to Tokyo in Nov, then back from Hong Kong on another with a NWA744 and an ANA 747-400D sandwiched between.
