i would upgrade the F-15C/D to the same standard as the F-15 ACTIVE, exept for a few differences.

upgrade:

-Canards in F-15S/MTD style
-F-100 PW 229E (E = Enhanced) with Vetoring nozzles
-Full Glass cockpit
-CFT’s of the F-15E
-AtA: new Python 5 and AIM-120D / MBDA Meteor capability
-AtG: Brimstone, Harpoon ASM, Exocet ASM, JDAM and SCALP capability
-an IRST sensor on the nose
-Foxhunter Radar (from a Tonka F.3)
-Sniper/Pantera pods
-Link16
-cover the intakes and leading edges with RAM
and last but not least, A fancy new paintjob with a urban Camo color sheme.

I like your idea, but the RAM wont help much since the turbine blades are clearly visible.

I’d take an F-15A since thats the lightest Eagle. Then install a pair of uprated F119s and throw out all unnecessary equipment like gun, radar, ecm, paint. 🙂

That’s clearly Custom made by Lego, otherwise there is no way on earth you could get so many grey blocks. You’d have to save up a couple of thousands kits to get a decent number of blocks of any colour. I also think half of the parts are custom made as I have never seen them before and I did have my own share of LEGO blocks in the past. My biggest ones were a 1/100 Kara and 1/100 Kirov (that Kirov was indeed 2m57 long and fairly tall, filling a great part of my room). I also made a much larger scaled Osa I class, I think I even have a picture of that one. I was still a kid though.

However it is still a great accomplishment and it must have taken a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time to build that!

No its not custom made by Lego. There are ways to get the parts you want on places like ebay etc.
The parts not custom made aswell, everything is standard lego.
However the bricks must have cost more money than I’ve ever had (being a student).

The original requirements for the MRCA called for an aircraft with specific derivates for AG and AA. That is also the reason for the Mach 2,2 top speed specification, also the service aircraft and especially IDS/ECR will not reach that speed.

The Tornado ADV was primary developed as a long range interceptor to encounter sovjet bombers and strike/attack aircraft, not to achieve or maintain air superiority against sovjet fighters.
I still wouldn’t underesteminate the aircrafts BVR capabilities due to its armament, radar and JTIDS, but the aircraft is definitely not superior to other more specified designs like F-15, Su-27 or their smaller counterparts.

Is it true that the Germans locked the intake ramps on their Tornados ala F-14 or B-1B? Would make much sense.

The Tornado is an excellent low level penetrator. But thats about it. A very high wing loading and poor TWR doesnt make a good fighter.
But the Tornado is able to do the job it was designed for, so i think its a good airplane.

btw, I read somewhere the Tornado IDS has troubles reaching 30’000ft combat loaded… if I remember correctly that is.

Swiss Mirages were equipped with a special, partly american, expensive avionics suite and later with fixed canards. But they were not stretched. Well except in price 😉

If 6 AMRAAMs wont fit, what about 4 of them plus two Sidewinders or ASRAAMs?
For an A/A mission, 4 missiles seems a little bit weak to me…
It might not be a problem for the USAF, but other customers dont have the option to rely on the F-22.
