I agree, its not the best looking aircraft but it certainly grows on you.
It looks well suited for its intended role. Like a brute that is always ready and willing to take you on face-to-face and kick your ass good and hard just once, because that’s all it would take.
Namibia
Just like this one.
Wonder if they will wear any insignia now?

That Helwan HA-300 is a sharp looking aircraft. Almost looks like a squashed Mirage F.1 from the side.
Hey, anybody think we can get this thread up to 1,000 pages? It’s already at 116, so let’s keep it up!
No, it looks like too primitive and coarse children’s toy – and not for me, but for all of us.
Such “plane” is suitable for false desert airfield as dummy aircraft to confuse the enemies during their aerial reconnaissance sortie – but not for serious aviation museum.
It is shame… 😡
Yes, I agree. It looks like some hodge-podge amalgamation of airplane parts made to look like the genuine article. I’d love to visit the museum and ask what kind of “engine” lurks under those nose panels. Extremely “low-powered”, I presume…
Egypte with the 1952 – 1958 roundel. Thank you cy24driver2! On all the other pics I have with this roundel the aircraft have a green-white-green finflash this is the 1st with the national flag on the fin.
Can someone indentify the plane for me?
It looks like some weird hybrid between a de Havilland Gipsy Moth and a Tiger Moth to me.

Anyone got some good quality shots of Brunei’s Bo105s they could post?
See attached.

What’s the weird triangular insignia on that Mi-17?
You know, I’m sorry for the comments I’ve made. I may have different opinions from everybody else, but I don’t think I come across reputably by saying the things I’ve said, the way I’ve said them. From this point forward, I will make a point to concentrate on facts, and not opinions. You can’t deny the facts. As a friend of mind said, “You can have your own opinions, but not your own facts.”
Well, the level in this thread has sunk to never before explored low levels, I am afraid..
Do you disagree with my fundamental points? This thread quickly deteriorated to a political pissing contest long before I ever butted in. I just thought I would inject further facts to clarify the situation for everybody. Look at the history of Russia since the 1917 Revolution. What have they done continually and consistently except fail repeatedly to become a legitimate state and attain their goal of being a reputable world power? What have they done except foment upheaval and conflict internally, and around the globe in general? Look, I clearly understand that no country is perfect, especially the United States. But Russia seems to be doing a ludicrously spectacular job of falling woefully short, of missing the mark over, and over, and over, and at the expense of not only the Russian people, but of people around the world. So if you frame the crap happening in the Ukraine in this context, it’s easy to see who’s behind it all, and why.
What makes you think me and MSphere support Putin? What we disagree with is a report that’s sole aim seems to be to remove responsibility from several of the key culpable parties to avoid its use in inconvenient lawsuits. It wasn’t a particularly large patch of airspace to avoid completely.
I don’t think you support Putin. As a matter of fact, I think a positive part of this whole discussion is to present facts on both sides, and to challenge opinions against them. That said, it is perfectly clear to me that Putin is the instigator and perpetrator of this whole mess. I was addressing anybody on this forum who supports him. Whether or not they do is for them to determine.
There is a report button for a reason. That drivel certainly warrants it.
Not at all. This is a desperately necessary confrontation of ignorance and evil against enlightenment and good. Let it continue. The fools who support Putin need to be put in their place, and everything possible must be done to convince them of their dubious and erroneous beliefs.
The first six RoAF F-16s left Monte Real AB in Portugal around 8 o’clock this morning, made a fuel-stop at Aviano (http://www.foxtwo.it/carpathian-vipers/) and landed at Fetesti AB around noon. F-16C “202” is an old PS-job
It’s amazing to see F-16s in Romanian markings. If you’d said this would eventually happen thirty years ago, people would have laughed until they asphyxiated, or told you that you needed some serious help.
