I’m conscious of not wishing to hijack the forum for photography questions but I’m only just starting to get more serious – hence the new camera.
    !

Whilst Moggy is willing to impart wisdom to us lesser talented mortals, make the most of the facility. As it not only benifits your good self but the others who are shy (me!) or not yet registered! (they think that they should know more). How would any Forum develop, other than by the efforts of its members???? 😎

Stewart, start by joining the DAS as a volunteer and help with the programme of restoration. They appear to be better organised these days as they concentrate on a handfull of project rather than having loads of people roaming about pulling aircraft to bits as had happened in the past.

Ahhh day’s of yesteryear When D.A.S. were known as:-

    Destroy Aircraft Sundays

Stuart (lovley misguided boy) you will never get a Morgage With your Ideals.
    Avro knows the truth.

About 1983/84 A regetable mishap occured with the Midlands Aviation group & their Varsity, which grounded the D.A.S. Varsity & all others. After the AAIB report the insurance went skyhi Hence aircraft grounded. With eec (Delierate) interfearance insurance would now be Prohibitive
