Does Anybody know of a static Griffon?
This is what it is for (Firefly).
Hi Brian,
You mean you are going to fit it into that mini in the photo…:D
Now, if we done what we thought of, one evening at group leaders all those years ago, we would all have had a griffon each ….:dev2:

Gone I’m afraid.
Plymouth is without an Airport. Shut 24.12.2011
Hi
Sad day then,a lot of history was there, If it is getting re developed maybe they will find the rumoured buried ww2 stuff, even in the 70’s stuff was being dumped in/by the old ww2 dispersal area.

Hi
In my personal opinion….
I have no doubt that had the French and UK roles been reversed…
That the UK would have done exactly the same as the French did.
As would most other countries in the world.

Is it the only way to get Rodda’s and Ginsters out of cornwall now:D, by hiding it in a spitfire:D
Wonder if this would work for shipping it over the pond.:)

Ian…
One of the Norfolk loss reports does include several copies of the same large format cockpit photo, the cockpit having separated from the wings and rear fuselage.
😮
Cockpit photo?
Ian, you have a PM…
Hi

The loss of second prototype L6845 is well described, including the results of the rolls Royce strip down of the engine. As a messy, but still fatal, forced landing there is nothing left at the crash site .
Hi
The remains of L6845 were recovered in the 70’s by an aircraft group, I seem to recall that the parts they got were on display in a museum, somewhere near bristol, maybe even in wales ?
There was a small article in an old edition of BAAC magazine, sorry but I got rid of mine years ago.
