    Somewhere i think i may still have a book of signatures of those attending the harrowbeer ASR reunion

    there were some 277Sq

    i dont think i gave it away when i left the uk for canada

    i will see if i can find it, but it might take quite a while

    i will let you know if i find it

    Just thought
    if it is about spitfires try the spitfire society ?
    some of 277Sqn pilots flew spits as did other units (276) etc

    there was an RAF ASR association, they had reunions at least.
    they did one at harrowbeer in the 90’s, there was a few 277 members there.

    i was able to download complete ORB’s free pdf’s to my iphone
    and other files as pdf’s

    As in my previous post about crashed a/c
    maybe they were only for static fund raising during ww2 and not for operational use
    then the possibility of axis a/c in south american scrapyards make more sense as they wouldnt have bothered shipping them back to the UK after fund raising ended

    I have a full set of the southwest maps in storage
    if anyone needs a photo of a map ref let me know and i will dig them out in a few days or so
    they used to be quite a common find in the 70/80’s

    I came across a reference at NA/PRO kew, in the 80’s,
    in an Avia file it mentioned, shipping crashed luftwaffe a/c to south america, something to do with fund raising,
    cant recall for sure but might have been something to do with the fellowship of the bellows
    i defintely recall Dornier being mentioned in the file, cant recall what other types
