That’s a great idea! The Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre (Near Lincoln) open Weekend is held on the 3rd/4th May 2015. There is already a ground running Jet Provost and hopefully a RR Griffon booked in so it might be nice to see what else we can gather. If any engine owners are interested then it would be great to hear from you. There is camping available all Weekend plus bar and evening entertainment on the Sunday night and BBMF fly past on both days. Likewise if any Stall holders are interested then more the merrier. Last year was a great turnout.
Sorry to change the subject but are there any dates set yet for Cockpit fest 2015?
Harvard, you could do with a David Brown or a Fordson Standard.
Thanks for the replies, I’ve tried HMVF too and had some good leads. The crane is in surprisingly good condition and having sat outside in a hedge for the last 15 years she actually runs. Once she has been in for bead blasting and painting she will look as good a new. The biggest problem is finding parts for the drivers cab but there are plenty of AEC Matadors still around.
I’m looking forward to it. Surely it will be the same as comparing ‘The Longest day’ to ‘Saving Private Ryan’, the same theme but totally different stories. Plus how many good war films are out at the piccys at the mo???
Crack on Mr Jackson!!!!!
I was thinking the same Alan, definitely looks like part of the pneumatic system and Autopilot’ish but the ball bearing looked familiar from the bomb cooookk.
Looks like Charlie Oscar Charlie Kilo isn’t allowed on here
My first guess without anything to confirm it with, would be the air **** handle for the bomb computer, located on the left hand wall of the bomb aimers compartment.

Thanks for the reply Bruce, I’ve sent you an Email with some more information.
Hi Bob, which aircraft do you need info for? I have a Few Avro drawings of various labels.
Hi, could anyone possibly help out with a set of Packard Merlin rocker covers and a Merlin Heywood compressor mounting plate please? Have Merlin parts for trade if interested?
Thanks again for the help. If they are of any interest to a museum or collection then they might potentially be available.
Thanks Alan, nice one!!! Do you happen to know what size Lancaster and Halifax had too please?
