Thanks for the reply, very interesting to see that it is done cold, i would have thought that heating them up first would make it easier.
Does anyone happen to know who the B17/ Lanc seller was please?
Would be great if someone could kindly post pictures of the B17 and Lanc section please. Not everyday you see these for sale.

Not on Ebay yet but thought I’d see if it is of interest and use to a forumite first. Very rare Mosquito DF loop aerial for the 1154/55, fits to the canopy roof behind the pilots seat.
How’s about charging for an advert? Works well on the milweb for military vehicles.
SV= Static Vent
Unfortunately it’s not an aircraft Elsan toilet but a building type. Would be great for our Control tower restoration though if it’s available?
The original seems much easier to understand to me.
Looks more like an oxygen or compressed air cylinder to me.
Kicking starting 2014 with a projects request. Can anyone please help with a static display Merlin engine propellor shaft please?
H2S, The aircraft loss card may state if it was fitted. Have you tried The RAF museum?
Who gets to sign the certificate, and how do you know there not forged?
Absolutly brilliant!!! I’d be sat in it all weekend if that was my garage…. Which turret was fitted to B-17s? Will this fill the gap:

Thanks so much for the input Gents, i think we may have cracked it. If the slot in the roof is intended for an overhead loading crane instead of a fin then Yellow sun would be a prime candidate as the size seems to fit.
The only question now is what to do with it, restore it for what it is or return it back to the original spec?
