I quote my own post #2 from that thread-
“Is it tragically going to take a war (civil or other) for the developed world … to pull it’s youth back to reality?
There is at present a serious economic war we are facing but again this does not appear to be on the concious thoughts of many (youth or adult)….
….. In the past it was mainly drink but now that drugs are freely available it’s a tragic world within the UK the NHS (tax payer) picking up the ‘tab’.
Solution – I simply don’t have a clue as to solutions.”
Actually maybe there are solutions which may seem drastic but it will take parliament to move fast –
Implement even as ’emergency’ legislation UK wide restriction without full verifiable accountability by parent/parents of anyone defined as a minor (non adult) 24 hours a day.
No I am not advocating imprisoning minors but the fact that at all times of the day and night they be accounted for.
Failure to do so by parent/s must be included in new legislation – heavy fines on parent/s.
What benefit is this ?
It reduces the willing temporary recruits of minors by the known adult ‘thugs’ for the current wanton destruction of society.
Many will argue against this suggestion but it’s all about recognising that the present situation calls for immediate action by the community not simply expecting already depleted emergency services to prevent or react to situation. This includes strict monitoring of school/college attendance registers (when they go back for Autumn), parent/s contacted immediately on ‘no shows’ and failure to contact parent/s being notified to the Police to trace truancy immediately.
PC/democracy is one thing but taken to the extreme when minors are permitted freedom to be party to social/civil disruption is another.
All this sort of ‘s.it’ may look good to ‘kids’ on arcade/pc/handheld games but it isn’t funny to society when it happens for real. It simply has to stop – Now.
Fine the parent/s on failure to be accountable for their children – on the spot fines dished out (posted) by magistrates/sheriffs on police reports.
Above all with all these civil disturbance diversions, please anyone reading this stay absolutely alert for real terrorist threats.

Lance is taking on the cool – ‘Kool-Aid’ terminology
Well, no.
The promised delivery date to All Nippon was Q3 of 2008.
Let’s not overdose on the Corporate Kool-Aid, amigos. 😎
Lance is taking on the cool – ‘Kool-Aid’ terminology.
Sure it’s late (some may say very late – but I shall add in the interests of safety and delays in the supply chain) but I meant the revised delivery date to ANA of Q3 2011.
IMO most will be happy to see it go in to commercial service and also see how a new high composite built aircraft handles in the hands of the ‘customers’.:D

Pity as the old saying goes – it would then be a damp squib
Pity as the old saying goes – it would then be a damp squib.
The wetter people are (soaking in fact) the ability to be so evil seems to reduce – maybe torrential rain that’s hitting the North may be a blessing in the areas down South too.
It appears that democracy coupled with ultra PC breeds the freedom for people to drift towards more evil than good.
These scum have no scruples at all.

Here’s a news item from Boeing and a Boeing ANA 787 interior pic.
Here’s Boeing’s simple but effective news item http://boeing.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=13&item=1633
Boeing, ANA Roll Out the First 787 Dreamliner that Will Enter into Service
EVERETT, Wash., Aug. 6, 2011 – “ANA’s first 787 Dreamliner rolled out of Boeing’s paint hangar in Everett, Wash., on Aug. 6. The airplane bears a special livery that signifies the core elements of the airline’s service brand – innovation, uniqueness and the inspiration of modern Japan.”
The previous pics of the interior (IMO) have not done the actual features too much justice.
Here’s an image of ANA 787 interior (Non economy) from Boeing.
It;s getting close to the promised delivery to ANA:D
Paul178 – glad you mentioned Broadwater Farm, ….
Paul178 – glad you mentioned Broadwater Farm, and that was the scene of the late Bernie Grant (heaven help he even ascended/descended to being an MP) led mayhem/rioting. That misguided soul must be looking at things from hell and smiling as it is all up his crazy ‘street’.
Please don’t deluge me with criticism but isn’t Diane Abbot (politician on many chat shows) one of Bernie’s protege’s?
This sort of nonsense (at taxpayers’ expense) is sadly endemic in similar communities, and must at all costs be prevented from erupting elsewhere in UK.
Is the use of water cannon banned as it can be a deterrent and also reduce the fire risk to a degree?
We must support the Police and the IPCC must recognise that people taking the law into their own hands of causing mass disruption to society including looting is pre-meditated badness and nothing to do with a single death a few days ago.
I am sure that with this diversion of civil unrest the alertness for terrorist strikes must be intensified by all good citizens.

Lance – I took up on a possibly simple solution for Jim’s previous post
Hi Don, It’s about time guys of our age started to fight back, and even a simple thing like myself and Lance have done, could just be the start of a Crusade, (Although I don’t want to be one of the Knights Templar, as Friday 13th could turn out unlucky), but we have all in this Country sat on our 6s and let the Authorities run riot over us, with silly simple things, eg, Wheeley bins for a start.
Anyone any bright ideas, as to how we could get some things changed, simply by annoying the authorities to the point they cave in?.

What in the name of sanity are you blathering on about now, Jay?
Has Random Sunday come round again already?
Lance, And I thought you were an educated Professor of knowledge;)
What the lad, Jay is on about, is what we here in the U.K. call a sink waste disposal unit, that grinds all the waste food up, and it goes through the mains. Every place I stayed in when I went to the USA had them, It’s a “Must have kitchen item”
Now………………………………………………………………write out 500 times,:diablo:Jim.

Hi Lance – I took up on a possibly simple solution for Jim’s previous post (naughty jobs worth Councils, etc) but admitted my lack of knowledge about why waste disposal units weren’t popular in the UK.:)
They do reduce the number of collections bins, boxes and clutter on pavements outside houses. (we have red, blue, green, black and brown ones and don’t ask me why they are so many in number) – NUTS 😮
Apart from large ‘marrow’ bones (Yum, Yum, do you remember them in a good home made soup?) even smaller bones can go in to a good ‘tweenie’ and comes out the drain with water in the form of grit small enough to not block any filters in drains or downpipes.
Yes Victor Meldrew has one:) and I wish I had one but the drains in sunny Morningside block up simply with heavy rain never mind ‘Tweenie’ sediment.

Rumours that IKEA have engaged Handl – new product range is launched
As a complete new all in one IKEA are rumoured to have engaged Handl and have a compact sustainability package for domestic use – ie Nuclear generation in the home/kitchen (replacing gas or electric boilers).
With it of course as part of the package a town’s supply of IKEA’s other famous product –

With a name like Handl (Handel) there is the inevitable self composed music to accompany very explosive mass funerals by to a similar tune to “Music for the Royal Fireworks”.:D
