I just hope its option 1 alone as otherwise we may have the start of other cities

    Norwegian 32 year old arrested. Which leaves these options;
    1. Nutcase
    2. Extreme left or right terrorist (think IRA)
    3. Afghanistan veteran turned nutcase
    4. Norwegian turned Jihadist

I just hope its option 1 (Nutcase) alone as otherwise (options 2 to 4 or other) we may have the start of other cities in other countries coming under attack soon.

Another option to be considered is –
There are of course also a large number of LTTE and Tamil asylum seekers in Norway. Norway brokered several failed attempts at reconciliation between the Sri Lankan governments and the LTTE.
LTTE sympathisers money is so vast all over the globe that they could possibly match the Al-Quaeda funds or even better it and contribute to/support and earn money from all sorts of crimes including terrorism and illegal arms deals.

Jay, hope you continue to get good news from your people over there.

    Roadracer
    Thanks for your concern.
My family are all safe but the Norwegians are a very united people and as they say in a country like Norway – many know each other and of each other – especially as my cousins – two work for TV2 and the other is a First Officer with SAS.
My relatives still have no confirmation as to whether friends or friends of friends are injured or dead as the TV2 office is next door to the building affected by the bomb.
It’s awful for them in a country like Norway.
I shall be thinking about them and all the people of Norway and hope that at least they narrow down if this is a lone ‘nutter’ or are there more behind him as conspirators. A least they have the nut case that did the shooting at the youth camp – what a maniac – dressed as a policeman – they were innocent kids.
These kinds of guys are sick, sick, sick:mad:

I remember the Manchester and Glasgow shuttle flights by BA in the early-mid 80’s, where you could literally turn up without booking, buy a ticket at the departure gate (IIRC), and walk straight onto the plane, not a security check or an indentity document needed.

You have posted some great nostalgic shots VeeOne – Thanks

    PaulF
    – I too remember the walk on shuttles BA operated in the 1980s. They did so from Edinburgh to LHR too. And in fact there was always a standby aircraft at EDI in case there were people booked on a shuttle which got full. I commuted often using BA and sometimes with no problem would switch to return on an afternoon BM (BA tickets easily accepted in exchange) – the attraction a real clotted cream high tea en route (55 mins) – real cutlery too and napkins. Bliss.

I still fly BA as often as I have to from EDI but as you say essential security has made the whole thing a ‘little’ arduous but still a good service from BA.:D

Oh Crickey yes Kinloss flying stops 31 Jul 11 – Lossie’s the sole survivor after 2013

My bad – Oh Crickey yes Kinloss flying stops on 31 Jul 2011 – Lossie’s the likely sole survivor after 2013 with Leuchars Typhoons going there.

Will Lossie take these poor orphaned Phantom’s and Lightning ?

Shame to see them go to scrap.

At least according to current real time news reports the gunman is in custody

At least according to current real time news reports the gunman is in custody.
As yet they do not know a motive and there are reports the same guy who masqueraded as a Policeman (in uniform) was seen near the buildings in Oslo.

Take care please all of you in Norway (we feel for you and share your pain and I have family there Oslo and Bergen) and here too in UK as extreme madness is endemic in our present world.

Why not mosy along to your nearest Audi dealership and see if they’ll give you a shot

I was wondering if anyone has driven, or what their opinion is of the new Audi A1 especially the Sport version with Red / Black Leather interior?

Why not mosy along to your nearest Audi dealership and see if they’ll give you a shot in one (if you have the insurance cover)

Tell us all if you do try one what your opinion is.:)

I think the Audi R8 V12 TDI concept is in a league of its own in the Audi stable apart from the dream made for the film IRobot.

Of course my dream – to drive a Bugatti Veyron:D

I have just had a message to say A okay but they fear for friends at TV2

I have just had a message to say A okay but they fear for friends at TV2.
My cousin who works at TV2 was fortunately with her family still on holiday in Italy.
My cousin who is first officer on SAS has let his mum (my aunt) know he is okay and is just departing Stockholm in the RH seat.
The others are safely in Bergen.
They fear for friends (especially as the TV2 offices are right next door to the blast) as my cousins exact words are “Norway isn’t a huge country”. They are shell shocked literally by all that’s happened and as yet they haven’t confirmation as to whether the shooting is connected or simply a coincidence.
    This is sickening news.
We can also only all be vigilant as it sure is a crazy world.

Awful – 3 cousins and my aunt live in Norway

Awful – 3 cousins and my aunt live in Norway where they were born.
1 cousin with family in Oslo works for TV2.
Another is a first officer with SAS based out of Oslo
The other cousin and my aunt are in Bergen.
I await news back from each of them to say they are safe.
My thoughts and prayers are with them and I have messaged them to that effect.

Does anyone have any more news as to who, why or what?
