Oh no ! Thanks for the input guys, well at least we will be able to see her in the air ????
Wanted to see her at NWI but ho humm, gives me the same feeling that I had when i was told there was not realy a “Father Christmas” !!! Keith.

So to the future, Is 558 going to appear at Lowestoft ? Is she going to spend two lovely overnights here at Norwich ?
There are a lot of local people booking days off work just to see her !
There are also an even greater number of people poised with cameras around “Norwich International” I will be one of both parties, if only I could get an answer ! So over to you who know ! (and those who will just speculate).

Mildenhall is operational ! Why not think about moving the whole thing just up the road to RAF Sculthorpe, Empty, doing nothing, loads of area, still in good condition, rain drains way very quickly here in Norfolk ! Think about it !

Any news on 558 being here at ‘Norwich International’ (Horsham St Faiths to most on here) ! On 24 & 25 July to attend the Lowestoft Air Festival ?
Would love to point my lens at her again this year ??? Keith.

bbspolo, Good move ! If you go to Duxford for the weekend I am sure you will love it ! and learn so much ! I think you will need to ask a million questions and expect half a million answers ! Go on WCFCFAN, just think, if you go to Cov, with your ‘New’ camera you may be able to startle us all with some ‘up close and personal’ pics of LB on her way home ! That chance may never happen again ? Keith.

Tartan Pics, From what I understand, G-STRZ of Astraeus arrived at NWI on 07-07-08 for re spray to Ghana International colours, by Air Livery, and as you see I was lucky enough to be there for it’s departure ! seems to be a happy coincidence for me ? Thank you all for your comments ! Keith.

Update today from Terry Juran:

The latest from John Burnett, as of 10 July. We are getting really close! The Airplane will make only one stop and that will be at McChord. This stop is so that the timing is correct for the opening of the Air Show. The C-133 is due to arrive on Saturday August 30, 2008 at 10:30 am. It is scheduled to make several passes and then land and Taxi to a special roped off area. We are working hard on having a reserved area for former members of the 84th. Now for the financial details that you are all waiting to hear. WE NEED $ 67,000.00 WE HAVE $ 53,800.00 (as of 10:30 this morning) WE NEED $ 13,200.00 So please help us bring 61999 home. We are so close !
