WP840. I have no idea what the coloured stripes are ? but they are present on a lot of 8 Sqdn Shackleton photos in this thread from another forum (hope the link works)

The”Eh”Team. Yes I have a dark (black) estate car, VW passat, if you see me come over and chat ! Yes I know of the postman who knows all ? he is a nice guy !

mike currill. Yes I agree its nice to see aero commanders, of late there has been no less than four of the type here at NWI ? all seem to be involved with aerial survey work ?? Could this be Google Earth / Maps / Street View ????

pagen01. Today (21.03.10) an aircraft took off in front of me, from a grass runway, wearing “that” dagger motif on the nose and “No 8 A.E.W. SQUADRON” written along the side ?? care to guess what type of aircraft it may have been … James ??

Hi Shackleton people ! Have found photos within Colin Louries collection of Shacks with a ‘J ‘ on the nose, two photos you may want to see and one that you may not like to see ???? All credit to Colin Lourie.

Thank you RichardC, Yes you should come over, the museum can absorb a lot of time depending upon your interests, and the airport has a never ending supply of unusual movements ! not as LHR or LGW but very varied ??

My Chill Pill !

Following a rather hectic work schedule this week I took a ride to the coast !
Sat down, looked at, and listening to the sounds of views like this !! well you just feel like jelly …. not a problem ….. sorted ….. bring on next week !
