Can we include the C74 Globemaster as less common ?? Keith.

Mark12, Thanks for those, always gives me an eerie feeling seeing airliners abandoned ! Maybe one day some of those will be someones restoration project ?
Keith.
longshot, nice find, rare aircraft ! I have access to this nightime photo of a B307 at Turnhouse 1960’s, courtesy of Colin Laurie. Keith.

It is so nice to see an aircraft being treated with the dignitry that it deserves, and in your ownership Jon H, I am sure that this will continue !
Looking forward to seeing it soon !
Keith.
Tim Kalina, First welcome aboard and thank you for posting your photo, I cannot help with the location, but the dress certainly looks the same, I would think there will be a ‘hangar expert’ along soon who could confirm whether the hangars are of the same construction ? thats just one of the amazing things that happen within this knowledgebase !
Keith.
Portagee,Thank you, Once again I am overwhelmed at the huge knowledgebase you people have out there !
Keith.
Newforest, Thank you, yes registered for 25 years, did it fly ? hoping someone out there has the answer ?
Schneiderman, Thank you, I searched G-INFO, yes you are correct 33/1 … were there a 33/2 … or more ?
Keith.
Avia B-35 ????
Bruggen 130, Yes that is the King, for some reason we use Roman numerals, which are all letters ? therefore it should be VIII, not V111 as I first posted, my mistake was corrected by JDK, thank you.
BSG-75, Zoomed in on the photo and I think there is an item of clothing ? laying across part of the top of the nearest undercarriage wheel and cover.
Keith.
So to the very dregs of the barrel (for now) a photo you havn’t seen yet !

More aircraft in the background ? Will this help ?
Keith.
Great idea!
Edward VIII, please! 😉 (The rarest letterbox.)
OOOOPPPPSSSS Thank you JDK, thread suitably ammended, almost lost my head there. 😎
Keith.
Whilst so many of you good people out there, including myself, have enjoyed researching so much within this thread, I was tonight looking for other information within ‘flightglobal’ and stumbled upon something which, I hope, may answer some questions raised earlier !
During the long and very interesting debate, in the earlier part of the thread, concerning a very large and diverse collection of aircraft at Wittering, there was no definate dates suggested, or reasons for this collection at the time !
Well I have learned that during early July 1936 King Edward VIII toured four Royal Air Force Stations in one day, flying in his personal dH Dragon, or Dragon Rapide ?
Northolt Fighter Station
Mildenhall Bomber Station
Wittering Flying Training
Martlesham Heath Test and Experimental
Could this be the reason for a large collection of different aircraft at Wittering on one day ? There are no photos of ‘the day’ as it states in the flight account that photographers were ‘kept at bay’ ( but of course ‘flight’ have some ).
Maybe I am completely wrong with this theory but who knows ?
Keith Newsome.
Navair Welcome. and thank you for that ! lots of small pieces of info coming together, and making some interesting tales !
Keith.
The last of the few, will enjoy what you can see within these last few photos from this collection ?
Keith.
