galdri, Thank you for those nice comments, I am they guy lucky enough to be able to post the photos, and am I also truly overwhelmed by the research others have put into this, it’s just so nice to think that this is such a good opportunity to save images from the past for others to see in the future !
Keith.
galdri, Yes I see your point, La Paz is the highest (above sea level) airport in the world ? Where a lot of aircraft suffer ‘beathing difficulties’ so I presume the air temp is very low, and oxygen is scarse ?
Keith.
Jon H, Wow I think I know what you mean ! The photo below was taken by me almost exactly one month ago today … on my last visit !

One day very soon I am coming to Liverpool to see your supurb collection !
Keith.
Jon H, Thank you for that, Yes when I first saw these I thought Farnborough ! The month made me think ? But by this time this person was a senior citizen, and hey that comes to us all, just so grateful for what he recorded from his earlier years ! Maybe just a small oops in his photo album ?
Keith.
Two more, rather later photo’s, from the same photographer, both tagged March 1963, I assume from an airshow/event, but what/which event ?

Thank you Anark, It is so nice to be able to share some time with someone else’s memories, and learn from their experience !
Keith.

steve p, thank you also for your nice comments ! enjoy !

This photographer mentions, below several photos ‘ATS’, I rather think this could be No 11 ‘Flying Training School’ also at Wittering 1935 – 38 examples.
“The Home of ATS” ……. ( A familiar looking hangar ? )

John, I hope the MEMSAHIB enjoys her curry as much as I (and possibly the rest of the world) enjoy your input to this small thread, and please thank her for allowing you the time to educate all !
Fairey 111F, yes from the same group as all the Wittering shots.
HP42E, yes as before, some interesting ‘ground equipment’.
V. Vincent, just another prang, one of many ?
Keith.
benyboy, It’s not strange, it happened ! but in Bolivia, may have been Argentina also ?
Pictures below from the late Stephen Piercey’s supurb book ‘sky truck’.
“Frigorificos Reyes” CP-891 at La Paz (not refrigerated) ??? Keith.

Hi John, Did a little research myself on G-ABPE, noted, somewhere on the web, at Wittering 1941 / 2, and at Harwarden 1940 ! Recorded on G-INFO as withdrawn from use 29 04 48.
Whilst, as we know, G-ACTF still wows the audience at Old Warden.
I rather assume the first photo is also G-ABPE ?
Keith.
Some horrible little pics ! sorry ! Keith
