I was actually joking! It isn’t is it????:)
In all honesty I think not, however you never know after all the clues are there. A Goatie beard, a Labrador, his love of cars and maybe just maybe that number plate means The Great Fry. We will never know 😮 .
Glad you like the photos Andy, I was looking in the book to see if anything from the collection was running, good luck for next year.
As promised I will post the shots I took at the finishing line tomorrow.
Confession time I hadn’t noticed who was driving the Merc, maybe I should of obscured the number plate?

I went into London to shop last Saturday and found all these cars on display in Regent Street. I was pleased to see that many of them were American, with Oldsmobile especially well represented.
When I finally get my classic 1971 (Oldsmobile) Delta 98 Regency, I too might gatecrash the Run like the Rolls in the photo did. I think my monster 455 V8 will be able to mix it with a 1902 model.
Here are some of the gatecrashers on the Croydon leg, I reckon your Oldsmobile would mix it well with this lot.

Loving the comments guys, very funny. I will post a set from Brighton later.

2 P-40Es with OFMC
P-40N with Warbirds of Great Britain (although I don’t think it ever displayed)I think that’s about it.
I think you are right, and if so I feel blessed I have seen all but the Warbirds of Great Britain one fly.
I also strongly expect that most of us on here have “Freeloaded” at sometime in their lives. For example I grew up in the 1980’s very much under the flightpath of many of the displays at Biggin Hill and recall with fondness that on times when my family could not afford to take us to the show, we would watch from the house garden,or my bedroom window and occasionally the local park. When I left school and went to college in the 1990’s I would save up enough to go in for one day and stay outside the other. I would also when possible pay entrance for the arrivals day too( If wasn’t possible then I stood outside).
I accepted that there was a risk standing outside and always had in my mind the A-26 Invader crash which my cousin actually witnessed from outside the airfield when he was 12. However at the time this was the only way for me to enjoy the airshow and I saw some wonderful things that otherwise I would of missed, and I was fortunate never to witness an accident or incident during that time.
Since the mid 1990’s I have been able to afford to go to around 5 airshows a year and now always pay the entry fee no matter what, and since then I have sadly seen five fatal accidents four of which happened totally outside the airfield boundary. I personally feel the “Freeloading” thing is a difficult one as some people cannot truly afford the prices to get into an airshow, however the risk of an accident has to be thought of by those doing so, as there is always a chance that something could happen. If you can afford it go in and get the feel and atmosphere of these aircraft close up on the ground.
I really feel for the organisers of such shows as it would cost them a fortune to have “freeloaders” standing outside a show removed if even possible at all, yet if something does happen they potentially could end up at blame somehow.
I just hope the guys he braved Duxford today get to see something, and that the show goes safely. As to PS Waverley I feel sorry for those who booked the trip on her today its blooming awful weather.

I decided against even going to London today, the rain has been so heavy all night and it still hasn’t stopped now. So my two aims for this weekend catching PS Waverley and Canberra XH134 on camera, never happened 🙁
